Ganga and the Nepal Hiking Team had come to me by way of a recommendation and I'm pleased to say that they went well above and beyond my expectations. From warm and quick communication from the day I sent my request to design an itinerary that would mean that I could summit Lobuche East Peak on my birthday, to a friendly pick up and welcome in Kathmandu, to my brilliant and friendly guide, Lakpa and Lobuche summit Sherpa, Pasang, the Nepal Hiking Team excelled in every way. I'm looking forward to my return to Nepal and my next peak challenge already - I already know exactly who I'll be turning to!Danyabad, Ganga, Lakpa, Mingma and Pasang Sherpa!
Let’s start with ‘outstanding’ and work up from there.From booking, pre travel, on arrival, transport, staff, guide and porter. Everything was amazing. They anticipated our needs and exceeded our expectations by a long way. Extra blankets, no problem, you want to change itinerary, no problem, you want specific food, no problem (even up a mountain!).When I needed assistance they sorted it, assisted me and continued to assist my friend.Absolutely brilliant service from Mr Ganga. Paban is an amazing guide and Ram, our porter, is unbelievable.We will be using you again.
Our Everest base camp trek was postponed for a year and a half because of COVID-19 and I guess for us that was a good thing because we had time to research for a different and better company. After contacting many different agencies it was a very easy choice - Nepal Hiking Team! Ganga (the manager) responded promptly to all of our questions and emails! We were given all the necessary information prior to our trip which made things run smoothly from the very beginning!Bhim, our guide, was FANTASTIC! He was knowledgeable, extremely funny and very cautious and helpful! We had the most wonderful time trekking to EBC and because of Bhim I had the confidence we would make it despite the little obstacles with altitude sickness and uncontrolled weather! All lodges were great (keep in mind that the higher you go in the mountain, the less amenities) and the food everywhere was delicious!I highly recommend the company, our perfect guide and the whole trip! It is well worth it and don’t think twice!
I can't say enough good things about Nepal Hiking Team. I was very impressed with the services provided by the company which exceeded our expectations. We did the 14 day Everest Base Camp trek and from the beginning to the end, the whole team’s commitment to customer service was outstanding. This was evident starting with Ganja’s email communications on the status of our tour with the ever-changing COVID restrictions and continuing even post-trek on the required PCR testing requirement in which Ganja arranged for the test to be performed at our hotel. The trek to ECB was both the most challenging & most rewarding thing we've ever done. Our experience was enhanced by our guide, Arun, and porter, Derba, who both went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of and accommodated our every need. They allowed us to hike at our own pace and were never in a rush. We always felt safe and immensely enjoyed our ECB trekking experience due to their guidance, expertise and professionalism.Nepal Hiking Team is a fabulous company and I highly recommend them to other hikers.
Ganga was absolutely fantastic - reliable, helpful, always accessible. Nothing was too much trouble. I spoke to several other operators, but Ganga stood out hands down. We wanted to tailor our itinerary and go off-the beaten track. We managed to get to places we would never manage to with a standardised tour. Our hiking guide Hari was a particular gem.I love how the company employed locals and had organised channels for giving back to the communities that the tours operated through. If you want to have a really local experience and support the local people, this really is the best option. Could not recommend it more highly. We had such a great time.
Having recently completed the Everest Base Camp Trek with the Nepal Hiking Team, I would just like to say, what an excellent team they were. From our first meeting at the airport in Kathmandu until we left 18 days later, nothing was to much trouble.Our Guide Raj, and the two porters for our group were excellent, always providing the best service without complaint and a smile, he was great company too and an excellent photographer. Some of the best photographs of our journey were taken by him and shared with the group.The accommodation and food provided from beginning to end far exceeded our expectations. This was an amazing adventure made even better by the Nepal Hiking Team, we were made comfortable, welcome and happy all along the way and nothing was too much trouble for Guide Raj.If you're considering a visit to Nepal, I would highly recommend this company and all it's wonderful staff.Whether it's one of the many treks available or just a guided tour of Kathmandu, you won't be disappointed.We also had a guided tour of some of the most important temples in Kathmandu and Raj was knowledgeable and again great company.Thank you for hosting our adventure of a lifetime and leaving us with the best memories
Great trip!! A little nervous at first when I landed but was greeted at the airport by Ganja. The trek was amazing. I went solo and had an excellent guide Surya who took good care of me, I still keep in touch with him. I was felt safe and that I was in good hands. it was great after an all day trek to get to the lodge and have every arranged for me as I was wiped out. I did start feeling a little sick on the way down not on the way up so I knew it wasn't altitude sickness. So I told Surya I might need an extra day to trek back to Lukla and he notified Ganja who then changed my flight and arranged it for me. Everything went as smooth as possible. Definitely recommend using Nepal Hiking Team.
