This is a fraudulent website pretending to be linked to the council and taking peoples money for clean air zones. This company have cost me £515 for falsely advertising clean air space payments for Birmingham. STAY WELL AWAY!!!! Hi I did, and still you did not forward my payment to Birmingham council. You are just fraudsters . Why advertise payments for clean air zones when your company doesn’t cover these options? Your company is vile!!! I’ve had a bailiff at my home this morning after me fighting against Birmingham council that I’ve paid for clean air zone through your website. Even the transaction through Lloyd’s bank and the councils didn’t even receive payment plus I was overcharged by yourselves for clean air in Birmingham at the price of £15. I was just visiting to take my daughter to Disney on ice. Your company again are sick fraudsters. Are you hell sorry?!! I’ve been emailing since December 2024 and a bailiff this morning demanding £500 for non payment on f clean air after paying you lot!!! Vile ppl. I could have lost my car this morning before taking my child to school over clean air in Birmingham. Which I paid through you rot bags! Let me add a photo to prove how rotten your company really is. Fuming in anger how you’re trying to defend yourselves and embarrassing as a parent to have bailiffs at my home over clean air to take my car over how much?!!! Bouncing and so hurt. Working ppl who pay over the frigging top on tax etc to get threatened upon when we pay soul heartedly is sickening to the core! I don’t know how you lot sleep at night! Even the bailiff agreed about how sick the system is and you lot are

I used Nochex for a number of years to take payments for my legitimate hosting business without any issues. Then, completely out of the blue, my account was closed because my business was suddenly deemed “too high risk”. No meaningful warning, no constructive dialogue, just a blanket decision.What makes this especially frustrating is that, after reading more recent reviews, it appears Nochex has since dramatically shifted its stance on what it considers “high risk”. There are numerous reports suggesting they now process payments for organisations that look, at best, questionable - including entities masquerading as councils or government bodies. The irony isn’t lost on me.From the outside, it feels like legitimate small businesses are easier to drop, while more dubious operations are tolerated, presumably because they’re profitable. That may not be the intention, but it’s certainly the impression their actions and current reviews give.Sad to see how far standards seem to have slipped. I’m disappointed, but unfortunately not surprised.Edit after reply from Nochex;Thanks for the reply. It’s unlikely you’ll be able to locate my account, as this took place over 10 years ago and I would be surprised if it still exists in your systems.My concern isn’t really about reopening an old case, but about the wider pattern reflected in more recent reviews. If Nochex truly takes “great care” when vetting merchants, it’s disappointing to see so many reports here from people who appear to have been scammed by organisations using your platform.That contrast - legitimate long-standing businesses being labelled “too high risk” while questionable operators seem to pass checks - is the reason I felt it was worth adding my experience, even after all this time.
The Nochex charity merchant account has been designed to make it easy for campaigning charities to accept donations - and I'm sure it gets 5 stars for that - but that has been a challenge for GERS, because we raise funds by providing access to our historical archives.Nochex Support has really come through with enabling the functionality required for this - they have been very helpful with making it work for us and our patrons.
I placed an order and paid via this provider. I subsequently received an email from the company providing the service asking for my billing address since this Nochex had failed to provide this information. Frustrating for me and the small business.
