Bought three bags of seed compost from my local Nottcutts rather than drive an extra 10 miles for a known and trusted brand. Wish I’d been less lazy. Honestly, standard B&Q multipurpose is finer than this rubbish. I had to sieve it all and throw about 1 1/2 bags worth of coarse material, up to an inch in diameter, straight onto the beds. Lesson learned.... again.
Just visited the nuneham courtney store and absolutely horrified when I noticed my dog eating something off the floor and saw that there was lots of rat droppings, smarties chocolate and the wrappers all over the floor!! This is absolutely disgusting this store should not have opened in this state surely? I told a member of staff what had happened and asked is there rat poison in the store which he replied yes scattered around so I told him my dog had been eating something off the floor and I saw rat dropping and chocolate and surely there should be signs up warning customers of this a d he replied yes that’s a good idea!!I’m just hoping my dog isn’t sick after this. I can’t believe this can happen they were then frantically hoovering but a bit to late now!! I Also mentioned this to a supervisor who just said sorry about that when I told her my dog had eaten some of it whether it was rat pop chocolate or rat poison didn’t seem to bother any of them!!! I’m absolutely fuming and very worried about my dog and for other customers who may do the same thing and also the ones who buy food products that have obviously had rats on them!!
I have just visited the Victoria store and my first impressions were great. I was very sceptical visiting at this time of year given the current pandemic. However as I was queueing to pay I was utterly disgusted with what happened to me.Another customer was stood outside the barriers of the queue waiting for someone, she was stood rather close already so I wasn’t entirely comfortable anyway but as I got to the front a staff member asked her to queue inside the barrier and wait there. She was then stood directly at the side of me and I had nowhere to go unless I was willing to leave the queue which I had been waiting in for 20 minutes.I have reported this matter and I am very disappointed with this behaviour. The company should be grateful that they’re allowed to open during this latest lockdown, I run a toy shop and have been forced to close again losing thousands at this time of year. I will not be returning
Nottingham: I love the range of houseplants. However, recently bought a plant and now it's home, I can see it has been infected with mealybugs (which are hard to eliminate and can pass to other plants). I've kept it separate to my other plants so, hopefully, there won't be any cross-contamination.When I was in store, I noticed one had them and informed a member of staff. I chose the same plant from a different location and it appeared unaffected but sadly isn't. Now I have the expense and inconvenience of having to treat the plant to try and get rid of them. Wish me luck - they are pesky!
Awful online experience. Ordered a planter in Sept supposedly to arrive within the week it’s now 7th Nov and still not arrived. Customer service respond and say are chasing but then I have to chase them to see what is happing. Have been promised delivery 3 times now and still nothing. Should have stuck to the other retailer I know who always deliver! Never again!
customer service just rudewe went to the booker store and had a bite to eat. breakfast finishes at 11.30. but at 11.55 told they aint doing lunch yet as still on breakfast. this was said with a rude attitude. then the person that was served next ordered lunch ?? the person that served use was names karen. we have emailed the customer service email. guess what they havent replied. we have been a customer for many years. looking at the feed back, its clear that notcutts have gone down hill, and dont give a moneys. WELL DONE , i think not
Today I thought I'd start Christmas shopping in case of another lockdown. Found a lovely Xmas globe for my mum and a Flamingo light for my aunt who are both isolating in Scotland. The price ticket in the flamingo (pink) was £14.99 and blue was £22.99 so obviously chose the pink. At the till the lady who was lovely I might add told me it was the higher price so someone checked we all eventually looked at the shelf after I said what it had said originally. The whole thing came to a head when the price ticket had obviously been moved by the time I got there and the staff member said they hadn't changed it..... So obviously inferring I was not being truthful - a liar- I do realise they called the manager after I asked as I wasn't happy with the staffs attitude towards me, but at that point I thought what's the point..... I won't ever be back I buy all my Christmas goodies here, and after today they won't see me back. They don't deserve loyal customers. There is no excuse for rude staff.
Generally OK on the plant side, and better presented in 2020, but still not really a proper nursery. Given size of grounds there should be a much wider choice, not just a focus on ready-to-go seasonal sellers at inflated prices. All the other stuff: food, books, jewellery, clothes etc is superfluous for a professional nursery. I'm surprised the local planners allow some of the activities. Cranleigh Nottcuts is incrementally converting greenhouses to a restaurant and general store and not paying the same business rates as shops on the high street [and creating more road traffic] - not right.
Customer Service provided just that.It was depressing reading going through customers' reviews, but my story finally ended satisfactorily.I had a problem with wooden garden furniture (Emily Bench and Table set). Many of the wooden components had deep cracks, so I asked for replacements. Fortunately, I kept contacting by email the same named individual at Notcutts Customer Service, who kept track of my problem and was helpful and courteous. The suppler sent replacement parts by express delivery. It all took an age but at last I can sit down.
