A few years ago, I had to make an insurance claim and decided to handle it on my own. I thought it would be straightforward, but I quickly realised how complex the process actually is. In the end, I settled for far less than I should have simply because I didn’t fully understand how to present and negotiate the claim properly.

So when I recently found myself needing to make another claim, I knew I wasn’t going to make the same mistake twice. I did my research and kept seeing the name Oakleafe come up time and time again. They’re widely regarded as one of the best in the industry, and after speaking with them, I felt confident I was in safe hands.

From start to finish, they handled absolutely everything. They dealt directly with the insurance company, managed all the paperwork, assessments, and negotiations, and kept me informed throughout. Most importantly, they completely removed the stress from what can otherwise be a very overwhelming process.

Two years of waiting for assistance, but no support received

I have waited two years hoping for help. The company directed us to a poor contractor, resulting in the need to redo all the work. We are still waiting for compensation due to incorrectly installed flooring. Promises have been made by the company but have not been fulfilled, and they are ignoring all my attempts to seek their help or advice. Since their last response, I have shared my correspondence with others, but my emails continue to be ignored. Additionally, a representative who was very helpful seems to have been instructed to disregard my inquiries. We feel abandoned.

Frustration After Two Years of Waiting

It has been exactly two years since our home was flooded, and we are still awaiting a settlement. We have been living in temporary accommodation without floors, walls, or a kitchen. Despite promises that using the claims management company would alleviate our concerns, we see our neighbors who didn’t use a claims company back in their homes. The estimated completion time for repairs is six months, which means we will be spending our third Christmas away from home. While one representative has been somewhat helpful, after two years of anxiety and uncertainty, I feel the promises made were not genuine.
