Only 1 order so far as I did a bulk, freezer filling order. Brilliant service, reasonable prices and although working my way through everything so far fantastic, beautiful meat.
Customer service is great too. Confession - I don't eat meat myself, but cook it for my family, and they've all commented and loved everything. Highly recommend. I'd happily pay a monthly subscription and have 2/3 orders per year. Fair prices for UK Organic farmers is important to me, so ethical companies are the ones I seek out.
The delivery and packaging of the produce are exceptional. We have ordered from them twice now, and the overall quality is excellent. Their lamb liver is the most tender we've ever had, for instance. We also appreciate the chipolatas (much more than the sausages) and mutton mince, and the chicken carcasses are fantastic for making stock. The only downside is that some items can't be (re)frozen, which makes ordering the minimum quantity challenging for just the two of us.
It is a bit pricier, but knowing the meat comes from animals that were humanely treated and lived well, along with being organic, makes it worth every penny. The lamb chops are incredibly succulent and flavorful. The lamb ribs are juicy and meaty, not just fatty. I haven't prepared the oxtail yet, but it arrived well packaged with what appears to be a good portion. I will definitely order again and continue to support local farmers.
My order arrived at the scheduled date and time, perfectly packaged to keep everything fresh. The cooking instructions were helpful since I'm just a home cook and had never prepared venison before. The venison loin was tender and flavorful. However, I was quite disappointed with the haunch; it turned out dry and tough, even after following the instructions closely. This really impacted my meal for the gathering.
I have been purchasing products for many years, and their offerings and service are outstanding. The quality of the products is exceptional and delicious. Thank you for another delightful Christmas selection. The biggest compliment is that everyone enjoyed it all! Delivery was top-notch.
Organic meat is often much pricier than regular options, if it's even available in stores! While this service isn't the cheapest, it offers reasonable prices, well-trimmed products, timely delivery, and free shipping on larger orders. After 10 orders, I have yet to be disappointed. I'm particularly excited about some unique finds of game meat and offal, bones for broth, and a variety of meats. Looking forward to trying goat, perhaps? The website is beautifully presented, and loyalty points, along with the fantastic recipes and cut descriptions, are greatly appreciated!
