Complaint Regarding Unfair Practices by Warranty Provider

I am lodging this complaint about an extended service warranty provider that has engaged in misleading practices, poor claim handling, and unfair treatment of a paying customer.
As a policyholder for multiple extended service warranty plans, including one specific policy, I have paid a total of $6,384 in premiums so far. Two of the three policies are nearly fully paid, reflecting my consistent good-faith compliance with these agreements.
Despite making timely payments and adhering to all policy stipulations, every claim I have filed has been denied. These denials are not due to valid exclusions but rather stem from superficial technicalities, overly strict interpretations of policy terms, or minor procedural errors. This creates a situation where coverage seems virtually nonexistent.
The company promotes its offerings as providing "hassle-free claims" and peace of mind. However, claims are routinely obstructed or denied, which starkly contradicts these claims and appears misleading.
Furthermore, my experiences with customer service have been persistently negative. Representatives have been unhelpful, dismissive, and unprofessional, often giving inconsistent explanations or failing to address my issues meaningfully. Calls are often cut off without resolution, and requests for escalation are ignored or delayed.
This behavior raises significant concerns regarding:
Poor claim handling
Misleading advertising
Unfair and abusive practices
Collecting premiums without intent to deliver real coverage.

Unrelenting Harassment from Unprofessional Service

I don't have any insurance with this service. I've never contacted them, yet for the past three years, they've been incessantly calling me from various numbers in the same area code. The frequency of these calls, especially late at night, is outrageous. Who has the time to harass others like this? What kind of company employs people to bother individuals repeatedly? I've had to involve the authorities and legal support to address this harassment. It's unacceptable, and I will uncover who is behind these calls. I have a strong aversion to this service and would never recommend it to anyone. Their practices are absurd, and it seems they hire individuals who have nothing better to do than to pester others for no valid reason. Please, just leave me alone!

My experience with Mepco / Ox Car Care…

My experience with Mepco / Ox Car Care has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I purchased their coverage thinking it would give me peace of mind if my car needed repairs, but it has been the opposite.Major Issues:No Service Centers Accept Them: I called around to multiple reputable auto repair shops in my area, and not a single one would work with Ox Car Care. Every mechanic I spoke with said they either don’t deal with them at all or have had nothing but problems.Worthless Coverage in Practice: Having a “warranty” that no shop will accept makes the contract practically useless. I ended up having to pay out-of-pocket for major repairs that should have been covered.Misleading Sales Pitch: When I signed up, the plan was marketed as broad coverage with nationwide acceptance. That has not been my reality.Bottom Line:This warranty has been a waste of money and time. If no shops will honor the coverage, then it’s not real protection—it’s just a monthly payment for nothing. I would strongly advise anyone considering Mepco / Ox Car Care to do their research and avoid this company.

claim has been going for over a month

claim has been going for over a month, each time I check on my claim they asked for more information about the truck, or an inspector has to inspect the truck. Today (08/15/2025) they asked for copy of sales invoice, to verify mileage when purchased.

buyer beware, dont ignore the reviews, they are as bad as the reviews say

I ended up totaling out my vehicle. I called to cancel my policy, and they still giving me the run around on canceling my policy. I been trying for a month to cancel my policy. when I call and ask to cancel my policy they put me on hold and leave me there all day. Do NOT USE OX CAR CARE, I REPEAT!!!!!! DO NOT USE OX CAR CARE!!!! You will be sorry you did.

Dodged a bullet.

Spent over 45 minutes to an hour talking with them I wanted to get coverage for 4 cars. They will not give me any details on what is covered until I signed a contract with them then I would have 30 days to review it and cancel. I have a Tesla and was asking if they would cover the battery they would cover up to $7500 but they can only pay $2000 a year. Everything was so sketchy then I decided to look up the reviews and I feel like I dodged a bullet

Do not buy any of their plans

Do not buy any of their plans. I purchased the platinum plan for almost 6k two years ago and never used it for one my autos BMW x6. I have a great relationship with BMW of Nashville. The x6 needed tire arm replacement which is covered. When I purchased the plan I told by the agent my plan would cover original parts which is not true. They did not cover more than half of the repair. I could have placed the 6k in a high yield savings account and added $100 monthly for this and for my autos with expiring warranties I will. Save your money and yes some luxury dealerships offer credit services for repairs.

Actually ZERO stars. I purchased the Platinum package and they started off bad. I selected a top rated local repair shop with stellar service. Ox told me I needed either a car fax or repair history. I have no issues with my car so paid $50 for a car fax only to be told no you need a repair history.. but the repair is IN THE CARFAX. Then finally they approved and now 3 weeks after my car is repaired they are NOT paying but giving excuse after excuse saying the repair shop is on the "Call-back" list to be paid. They are crooks, liers, and should be SHUT DOWN. My mental health has suffered from trying to deal with these low life scam artist!!!!!!
