Review Time
I receive emails indicating updates to my records, but I urge everyone to carefully read any paper letters. I found out an appointment was cancelled without notice. Now, I have a new appointment at a different location, but there’s no clarity regarding the purpose of either appointment. Additionally, the name "Patients Know Best" seems misleading. If that were the case, why would I still need to see a doctor?
I receive emails stating that my records have been updated, but I recommend reviewing any physical letters you get. I found out that an appointment was cancelled without any notice. Now, I have a new appointment at a different location, but there's no clear information on what either appointment entails. The name "Patients Know Best" is quite misleading. If that were the case, why would I still need to see a doctor?
For my recent minor issue, all communications and treatment went flawlessly. I couldn't be more satisfied. Then I encountered a tricky IT glitch, and I expected a long delay in resolution, but it was sorted out quickly, and the IT team was incredibly helpful. This demonstrates that there is valuable work happening behind the scenes despite complaints!
I have been navigating through various departments for over four months trying to obtain critical details. After numerous requests and layers of information databases, I received nothing useful. I finally connected with the support team, and while the main system took four months without fulfilling my requests and still has a long waitlist, the team managed to provide 80% of the information I needed in less than three weeks. I recommend keeping your IDs secure for emergencies when access is needed.
This app seems designed to allow certain trusts to delay providing patients with critical information. In my case, it took over a month for results related to a blood test for potential cancer, which is unacceptable. Delays can significantly impact survival rates, yet this service enables such delays. My local trust won't even disclose who is responsible for these decisions. This app is named "Patients Know Best," but it feels more like it prioritizes the trusts over patient needs.
I would rate this as zero stars if possible. I can't seem to log in at all. There are supposed to be several ways to access the app, but none work! I expect a supportive reply to this review, as is typical, but it seems no real improvements are being made to enhance the app's functionality.
The introduction to CBT was very supportive and professional. Despite it being my first session, I feel more knowledgeable about thought processes and behavior changes. The healthcare professionals are exceptional and kind, and the insights from fellow patients have been incredibly helpful. I'm fortunate to be part of this program.
Initially, I was frustrated because I forgot a trust had registered me elsewhere, which caused confusion during registration. However, once I clarified my query with the team, they were very helpful in guiding me on where to find the correct trust on the portal. It's crucial to share information between providers, as one may hold vital details relevant to diagnosis or treatment.
I attempted to sign up for my mental health services portal to access my medical information, and everything was set up correctly. However, every time I try to register, it deletes my last name. The service provided incorrect information regarding a "medical number," which is not required by my hospital. The hospital's IT department confirmed everything was accurate and expressed frustration over the lack of response from customer service. The platform is a nightmare to use; I would suggest sticking to traditional methods if you're a medical professional.

Patients Know Best (PKB) is Europe’s largest personal health record platform, enabling patients and healthcare professionals to access real-time health information - anytime, anywhere.
As the world’s first patient-controlled personal health records system, PKB facilitates borderless, integrated care wherever the patient needs it. That means any healthcare provider, whether in another area of the country or another part of the world, can immediately access all the information they need to support improved clinical decision making and the best patient care.
Everything from test results, care plans, real-time monitoring data and discharge summaries, to the patient’s own data - either uploaded from their journal, wearable devices or using symptom tracking, are all available in one patient record. This also reduces the need for professionals to request background information from the patient’s regular healthcare team.
In 2020, PKB became the first personal health record (PHR) to integrate with England’s national health platform - the NHS App. This extends the NHS App’s current features and sharing of GP data, to allow patients to access PKB’s full health and care record and functionality, direct from the national NHS interface.
