My experience with the veterinarian was extremely disappointing, as she exhibited argumentative, unprofessional, and discriminatory conduct. After expressing my concerns, I was met with a mere £40 compensation offer. Here’s a brief summary: I was promised a call during specific hours, which never occurred. Upon my arrival, the veterinarian engaged in a lengthy debate instead of addressing the issue at hand. When I mentioned my autism, she dismissively stated, 'we are all autistic on days like this,' failing to recognize the significant difference between typical stress and the unique challenges faced by individuals with autism. Her unwillingness to proceed with the euthanasia, opting instead to argue and assert control, was distressing. She even shared personal details about her own breakdown at a moment when I was preparing to say goodbye to my beloved pet, showing a lack of professionalism. In my own home, I felt confined and uncomfortable. I almost asked her to leave, but my dog's needs took priority. Despite having a positive experience with another veterinarian from the same practice just four months earlier, I cannot recommend their services now, as this particular veterinarian was inadequate in her role at this time. The total service cost was £397, with an additional charge over £300 for cremation. The response to my complaint ignored the most serious issues and offered either a casket worth £50 or a £40 refund as resolution. I am currently disputing this through my credit card company, as the promise of a peaceful, gentle, and professional service was not upheld. This represents a breach of contract, leading me to report the issue to the relevant authorities.

It never occurred to me that veterinarians no longer performed End of Life Home Visits. I contacted my long-time veterinary service to arrange an End of Life visit for my elderly pet, and they referred me to another company. When I called, a very caring representative informed me that they couldn’t get anyone to me in time for the cremation I had planned. However, she provided additional contacts for companies that did offer home visits, though they were unable to assist that day. When I called back, the same helpful representative shared that one of their veterinarians had rearranged their schedule to come between noon and 1 PM, allowing me enough time for the cremation. I was grateful, and Dr. Jo from the company took care of my pet in her final moments. I highly recommend their services for their quiet compassion, which was immensely appreciated.
Dr. Jo arrived with respect and gentleness during a profoundly difficult moment for me. He made the experience calm and peaceful, ensuring my beloved pet’s passing was serene. I loved my pet dearly, and making the decision to let go was heart-wrenching, but Dr. Jo's compassionate care made it easier. I am grateful for the time he allowed me with my pet before, during, and after.
I reached out to a recommended service on a Sunday morning for my elderly dog, who had been unwell. After struggling through the night, I was advised by an emergency helpline to visit a vet, but transporting her was too traumatic. So, I called the recommended service. The representative was lovely and efficient, and it turned out she knew my dog. We received an appointment that afternoon, and Dr. Suzan arrived, showing exceptional kindness and understanding. After assessing my dog's condition, she stepped out to let us decide on the next steps. We ultimately chose to ensure our dog wouldn’t suffer, and Dr. Suzan administered a sedative so we could say goodbye peacefully. We were impressed with the care we received, and for the level of service, it felt reasonably priced.
Soon, we will face the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to our cherished pet. Our pet was anxious about vet visits, so we opted for an at-home service. After reaching out for advice, Dr. Jo visited us and was incredibly sympathetic. He gently explained our pet's condition, helping us understand the situation without making the decision for us. I am profoundly grateful for his support. When the time comes, I hope it will be Dr. Jo who helps us through this process.
