I had a brilliant experience buying a car from Peter Scott cars . Very helpful from start to finish . Nothing was to much trouble even delivering my car to my home, they went all out to make sure I was happy with my car (Skoda citygo). I would definetly recommend this dealer
Terrible Company. The car I bought developed a major fault within 7 days blowing out black smoke. I rejected the car under the distance selling regulations and told the garage that I would drive the car back as per my responsibility on the understanding that if any further damage was caused to the car I wouldn’t be held responsible. The garage said they would pick it up on safety grounds and once they checked I hadn’t stolen any parts off it I would get a full refund. I had put a full tank of petrol into the car the day before (£50) and bought £100 of accessories for the car. The garage said there was nothing wrong with the car and charged me milage @£1.50 a mile both their and back £206 despite the car being filled with petrol. They also charged milage to my home address when the car was collected from a closer address. Even though I’ve sent them AA maps to prove the distance they just ignore my emails. If the car hadn’t been faulty I wouldn’t have rejected the car. My home CCTV has captured the black smoke pouring out of the car on starting ! Peter Scott do not have an ADR nor are they a member of the motor ombudsman. The only redress is via the courts. Avoid.
Be Careful of this Dealer!!I chose this dealer against others because of the great feedback I found and initially found the family run business to be trust worthy. However upon delivery of my car I discovered the modified exhaust fitted to the car was too loud and borderline illegal! I contacted Peter Scott Cars, but was told the exhaust was what I supposedly agreed to when I signed to say the car was okay upon delivery. I asked for the car to be returned, but would of resulted in loss to me as my part exchange would need to returned back to me and thus showing another registered keeper on my car and devaluing it. The dealer also advised I would have to pay an excess mileage charge of £5 per mile should I decide to return the car and seeing as I live 250 miles away from the dealer it would of been a lot of money to make the return!I then discovered a few weeks later the car had corrosion on both front wings and again told I signed for this upon delivery. Be wary of this when purchasing a car from Peter Scott Cars as they may seem good on the surface, but when you have any issues after the point of sale they won't be willing to even compromise with you.
My wife and I needed to sell our Audi A3. Having tried the usual car selling websites, I was recommended Peter Scott by a friend. Their online price was substantially more than anywhere else we'd tried. We made an appointment, took the car the next day, and after a hassle-free inspection of the car they made us an offer we were delighted with. Our outstanding finance was cleared there and then and we had a tidy profit from the equity too, paid immediately to our bank account. I recommend Peter Scott Cars very highly and hope to do business with them again in the future, possibly for a car purchase and not just a sale.
Bought a VW T-CROSS from Peter Cross cars over the phone after reviewing the details ,videos and photographs on their website. All information was found to be 100% accurate and they delivered the car to my door in the NE of England 3 days later and free of charge. They serviced the car the morning of delivery which I really appreciated and came with a free 3 month warranty for piece of mind and 5 days of temporary insurance. Rob who delivered the car went above and beyond with his service and I will not hesitate to use them again.
I came across Peterscott Cars whilst looking for my next car. A video showing just what I was looking for AUDI Q3 TFSI Sport.Have purchased many cars over the years going through a main dealer. Not anymore . This family run professional trusting business changed it all for me. One bug bare in the past was spending hours in a car show room trying to negotiate the best price for your car against one to purchase and always coming out at a loss. Not this time the deal was done quickly and happy with the result. Even changed my private reg plate over before picking up. For me they are the Best of the Best out there. Will always use again in the future.

Right listen carefully, make sure you check every bit of paperwork before handing over any money, was told this had extensive history and paper work including the original order form to prove the JCW parts where factory/dealer fit and not just bolted on at a later date, well guess what I still don't have the original order paperwork as promised on multiple occasions, the list of issues are listed below, I was told the AA where coming in on the 20/02/23 to do the inspection i now know this to be a lie, they came in on the 10/11/22 to do the inspection which it failed on, the following week I was told on the phone that the AA had signed off the car i now know this to be not true, it looks like none of the jobs listed on the AA report have been done.The list of jobs are as follows1, low engine oil2, multiple oil leaks which it still has3, Discs and pads in poor condition need replacing ( i have done at my expense)4, Rear left tyre damage on outer shoulder 5, airbag light (seems to be rectified).6, Bulb warning light, still on when delivered and rear light inoprative.(major MOT Fail)(now fixed at my expense)7, Rattle on cold start ( suspect chain)8, heavy corrosion on front subframe ( how did it not even get an advisary on the mot for this)9, offside inner drive shaft leakingFound after delivery10, rear seat locks missing (major MOT fail)11, Blow on exhaust (major mot fail)12 Air filter housing and pipe work insucure 13, both front and rear bumpers insucure ( at least an mot advisary)14, front and rear brake pad wear indicators removed and cable tied up15, only 1 key when advert clearly states 216, extensive service history with books, no books and recipts for just 3 services in it 15 year life.17, No AA pass certificate.Be very careful and check and recheck before handing over any cash
I sold my car through Peter Scott cars, and it was a simple and easy process! I dealt with Mike and Rob. There was no hard sell or silly bartering; they pointed out some small jobs they needed to do on the car and offered a sensible price. Turned up at 9am, and the money was in my bank at 9.22 am (and it only took that long because we had a natter on the doorstep!). All in all, excellent service and experience and great people to deal with and I would most definitely buy and sell through them in the future. 100% recommend.
