Been with Pet Plan for 13/14 years only had to claim really in the later years as our dog was getting older and suffered with osteoarthritis, as well as going blind, deaf and a bit senile.
Unfortunately we had to let him go last week. We have lost one of our family members and were all so devastated.
At the time we really needed support from a financial point of view too, I have been told nope sorry ..nothing!
Paying over £120 a month - what for? should have saved it in a bank account.
So beware and read up!! not always worth it!!
Now we have a massive bill to pay on top of one of the worst times of our lives.
And no one is getting back in touch with me now to explain.
Thanks Pet-Plan

I have had absolutely nothing but a positive and amazing service and experience from pet plan. My dog has had many health conditions from a young age. I am feeling emotional writing this now because if it wasn't for pet plan my dog would not be here now on the run up to his 15th birthday and that's why I couldn't make a video review because I am so emotional. You have enabled us to keep our dog going for the 15 years he's been with you kept him in our lives and your service has always been second to none. I have never once experienced a difficult claim it's always been a smooth service, I sometimes think I can't afford the monthly cost but I won't change it because I've still got my little boy and that it all thanks to you. He wouldn't be alive now if we didn't have your service. I always recommend you and am always grateful for you :) Chester says thank you and so do we his parents. You've always been amazing throughout his lifetime and so have all your call center staff. Not a bad word to say. Thank you all so much xxxx

Ive got a large number of pets all insured with pet plan, which is costly. However, I have always had such good service compared to cheaper companies. On this occasion, it was the first time that I have paid in full for a claim upfront and then submitted a claim. I expected aggro and delays.
The claim was just no hassle, I was kept informed. The stages of the claim were not only dealt with efficiently but once approved, the money was in my account immediately, which was a surprise

This company allowed a vet to diagnose a condition with my cat which is excluded from my policy as a pre-existing condition. The vet did not examine my cat or run any tests and at the time, my daughter was cat sitting for me as I was away. She panicked when my kitty got sick and had a runny tummy. She told the vet that my cat did have a UTI last year and the vet decided without examining her it was a UTI. When I returned from my short holiday, my cat was fine and just seemed to be suffering with stress and anxiety. She gets separation anxiety if I am not home.
They rejected my claim because of what the vet put down as a diagnosis. I have called and called and emailed and emailed. Still waiting for this claim to be paid so they can do their full investigations which I have been told takes 6-8 weeks!! Not sure what they want to investigate???? Vet didn't examine my cat and ran no tests, therefore I would like my claim to be paid. What a nightmare of a company to deal with.

Reliable Coverage for Years

I have been with the company for many years; while it's not the least expensive option, it has consistently met my expectations. The claims process and payments are straightforward and prompt. Whenever I've needed assistance, the support team has been there to provide guidance, allowing me to focus on my dogs' well-being without the stress of expenses.

Smooth experience, a relief with no extra hassle

The process was straightforward and stress-free, requiring no further information from my side. The support team coordinated directly with my vet, which made everything easier. I feel well-supported by my insurer, which is quite uncommon these days. I will definitely be renewing my policy, as it will be there for me when my dog requires treatment.

Disappointed with the service after many years

We had been with the company for around 7 years to insure our Maltipoo, who sadly passed away last week at 15 years old. The costs have become outrageously high, with us paying £200 monthly over the last year. We rarely utilized the service due to the substantial £150 excess fee, meaning we had to cover consultation costs ourselves. Given her advanced age, we opted against costly treatments that offered little chance of improving her quality of life. After she suffered another stroke, we made the heart-wrenching decision to let her go peacefully to avoid a more painful end. This also meant we faced an emergency vet fee of £125. The entire distressing experience cost us about £500, yet we received only £11 from the claim. This is incredibly hard to accept during such an emotionally and financially challenging time. The company would have profited nearly £10,000 from our pet, leaving us with a very negative impression. While we plan to get another pet in the future, we would not consider returning to this company and cannot recommend their service to other pet owners.

Consistent Reliability with Claims

We have consistently relied on the service and have never encountered issues with claims. They accommodate lifetime conditions, and the claims process is straightforward, particularly since you can handle it through the vet without needing to complete any forms. They respond promptly to claims and keep you informed about the progress.

The service has become overly focused on profit

Ever since the takeover by a self-proclaimed expert, the service has adopted the same money-driven approach. My local veterinarian truly embodies the spirit of a dedicated professional, prioritizing animal welfare over unnecessary procedures that seem motivated by profit and self-importance.

Exceptional support for our dog's health needs

Our little dog has faced health issues since birth and is now 6 years old. The service has consistently provided prompt payments without any stress. They have supported us with compassion and care during challenging times. Choosing this service was the best decision we've made, as it alleviates our financial concerns.
