I've been using this card for almost three years, consistently paying on time without encountering any problems. While I wish the credit limit were higher, it remains functional for my needs. I really value the mobile app, which makes checking balances and paying bills very easy.
I cannot recommend this bank or their credit card to anyone. It's best to steer clear of them as they engage in unfair practices. I was promised a zero interest charge, but upon reviewing the fine print, I discovered an annual fee of $40. While that may not seem significant, I wanted to avoid any charges unless I was making payments. Additionally, late fees and amendment fees apply, which is frustrating. After I destroyed my card and returned it, I received a letter indicating that I could still incur monthly fees. This is how many credit card companies profit. When I attempted to call, I couldn't reach the appropriate representative and only received automated messages, excluding the option to cancel my card.
I called about getting APR lowered account paid un full never late credit rating 764 representative was very rude and ignorant asked to speaknwith his Supervisor he stated she was sure to say say same thing I was wasting my time I told him since he had all answers apparently he wasnt in need a a boss was on hold for apprx 10 mins she came off cold and inpersonal from the rip! Very rude and short needless to say I will not close card its in good standing but beyond that its a wrap! Would not reccomend them to a snake nor dog!!
I was able to get my payment method updated after I had fraud on my bank card and make sure that Merrick Bank would stay auto pay and auto updated! for a more thorough service that's not only more effective but cost efficient!
