My visit to this garage was extremely disappointing! From the reception to the staff, it was a frustrating experience. I called about a power steering pipe leak, and they assured me they could fix it if I left it overnight. When I called back to confirm I could bring it in the morning, they confidently agreed. I took the day off work to bring my car in, but when I arrived, the reception staff seemed unprepared. I was asked if I had removed the pipe, which was never mentioned during our calls. I felt misled and frustrated. Another staff member, with an indifferent attitude, informed me they couldn't assist until I brought them the pipe after removing it myself. It’s unbelievable that a garage with tools and mechanics is unable to help in this situation! I regret not confronting them more directly. This place seems to only be interested in wasting time and money without taking responsibility. I plan to report them to the relevant authorities and seek compensation for the inconvenience caused.

Amazing company! They are genuine, super friendly, and really go out of their way to help. I had an issue with my item and even though they weren’t able to find the part or fix it completely, they still tried their best and didn’t charge me a penny. It’s rare to find a business that puts people first like this. Highly recommend 5**** service
We called them to come have a look at a hydraulic hose replacement in our forklift. The gentelman on the phone asked for £200 deposit paid prior to visit. I insisted on knowing at least a rough cost estimate prior to their visit to avoid a nasty surprise. I sent him photos of the job and forklift model so he could estimate the price which he quoted to be in the range of £400-450. He seemed to be pushy to charge that deposit as called a couple of times to get that charged. Once on site, the quote was raised to £950 + VAT. Of course, we refused that so they wanted to charge us over £100 for the callout. We never received any explanation why this quote doubled while on site. What Pirtek did not know was that we had obtained two other quotes prior to their visit one at £380 plus VAT and the other at £550 plus VAT.How could the initial quote be so miscalculated if they are "hose specialist" and do this kind of work daily? We ended up getting both hoses from a local shop for the total of £220 and replaced those ourselves. It took us, complete newbies, 1 hour and 15 minutes. That basically means Pirtek wanted £700 for labour... Shocked at the whole experience...
Appalling company.They have been contacted about their employees trespassing and parking the van in a private (and designated) parking space.The driver was also advised not to park there.But every weekend, the Pirtek van WM19 GXX is dumped on my driveway.We have decided we are going to install an electric gate or a bollard.
I went into PIRTEK Edinburgh today. It was not a pleasant experience. The guy there was rude, abrupt and impatient.He did replace the faulty part, but his abrupt customer skills were very poor, to the point of embarrassment.They just lost a customer.
