I've been on here for a few months. It's a free site, been going for many years. There is a support side which is efficient. I've not seen any erotica and if you do you can just report it as the site is for everyone. I enjoy postcards and snail mail so for me it's a great place to learn amount different countries and pick some nice cards. Yes there are people who have preferred cards but as Postcrossing states, it's about connection not collection.

I use it already many years

I use it already many years. And yes, some countries you get more often as there are more users over there. Some cards get expired, which is a pity. But what can you do about it ? The reason I sent less now, had nothing to do with postcrossing, only with the price of stamps over here. It is getting too expensive for me.

Not for everyone

I was there a couple of years back. Back then, things were basically okay, but there were several people who cared more about getting the perfect postcard or stamps than anything else. Back then, there were only some profiles of men asking for erotic cards. I went back few weeks ago and have left after about 6 postcards. This time round there were quite a few men asking for erotic cards. I did not draw them all, but several were actually listed as supporters of Postcrossing. There were considerably more than previously. The reason I left was one particular profile. I drew that man's profile and would have had to send a postcard to him. He was asking for erotic cards and even condoms for his collection! Sadly, I'm not joking... Also, he had an Instagram link on his profile. After reading his profile, I had a look at his Instagram and there were several nude photos of him on it. Again, sadly, I am not making this up... The site is for people 13 and older. Owing to my most recent experience, I can not recommend Postcrossing for anyone younger than 18. I personally decided to join Postcrossing again because I have a disability and can't go out much. So I was hoping for sending and receiving friendly messages. I was not prepared for this. It is stated on Postcrossing that it is all about connection. But I think for many people it really isn't. Most profiles are very long with long bullet lists of cards they would like to receive and/or occassional requests for stamps, happy mail and other things (like those condoms...). Most people with those long types of profiles are saying in them that they are not expecting to be sent any of their most wanted postcards, but those bullet lists do give a different impression, at least in my view. The reason I left is having come across so many men's profiles asking for erotic cards (and that "special" fellow). So, if you decide to join for or with a child, please be careful.

It’s so so ⚖️

I’ve been postcrossing for 5years and I’m liking it….I’ve stopped resending people postcards after it gotten expired because it’s just another waste of time and money on stamps so if a card expires then oh well not sending another one🤷🏻‍♀️. My little sister also started to join and she is using my PO Box address because I’m not gonna be using our personal home address and yet I got in trouble with forum moderators accusing me of having 2 accounts..like so? It’s 2 different people using 1 address why should that even matter!. The only thing that bugs me a little is that I keep drawing Germany😑 don’t get me wrong I love Germany, I’ve been there 5 times and my name is even German but drawing Germany 10 times out of 13 like daammm give me at least a country in Africa or in the Middle East or South America please something new

I enjoyed for a year until Postcrossing…

I enjoyed for a year until Postcrossing started harassing me saying I had more accounts than allowed which is a total LIE...my spouse has account and they add both people's accounts into one????I enjoyed spreading joy around the world in today's times but this company seems to harass members too much..and they suspended our accounts to boot lmao

This site is predatory and "woke"…

This site is predatory and the mere mention of a NSFW function gets you banned. There are hardcore gay sexual images and naked men and women performing sex acts. And this is a site says it's for children? Postcrossing has flagged this review as promotional.

Love postcrossing

I've been a postcrosser for a couple of months... great experience overall. Unlike the previous reviewer, I've not experienced significant issues with expired postcards... 2 in around 150 (around 1%). That seems to be very reasonable and I'm willing to pay that small price to experience the joy of exciting mail in my letterbox and connections with people from around the world. I find the community is very warm and kind - just what is needed in this pandemic.

A Great Idea with One BIG Problem

Postcrossing is a great idea that I enjoy very much. The more ways there are to communicate electronically, the more I enjoy getting traditional mail in my mailbox and sending traitional mail to someone else's mailbox. However, Postcrossing has one big problem to fix: They punish you when cards you send expire. You can do nothing about postal systems in other countries and you can't force someone to register cards that you send. All you can do is send cards in the faith that they will arrive and those they are addressed to will register them. Postcrossing will ban you from sending more cards due to a high number of expired cards in your account and make you wait until the cards have been expired for more than one calendar year before letting you send more. This is not fair.Perhaps Postcrossing would like to punish countries that have higher incidences of unregistered cards rather than punishing the people sending cards to those countries in good faith. You can't control which countries Postcrossing gives you addresses for, but Postcrossing certainly can control that and they should.
