I was contacted by a recruiter named Alex regarding a Graduate Investment Banking role and completed a pre-screening interview. I was told my profile was strong and that everything was “perfect,” except for a lack of CPD hours.
Alex strongly implied that unless I enrolled in a specific CPD course and shared my student ID, my application could not proceed. Based on this, I enrolled in one of the recommended courses, which was extremely expensive especially as an international student.
After enrolling and following up multiple times (three emails), Alex completely stopped responding. No feedback, no update, no explanation.
This experience was highly disappointing and felt misleading. Encouraging candidates particularly students who are already financially stretched to spend large sums of money and then cutting off communication is unprofessional and unethical.

Later, I discovered that I had to pay £600 for a course to submit my CV for consideration. The entire process felt unclear, and their website appeared untrustworthy. After purchasing the course, I received ongoing updates about my supposed progress, including being told I was in the 'top 30%' while waiting for a response. However, I never heard back from this representative again. Many others have shared similar experiences of being scammed. They prey on those who are desperate for work, especially in this challenging job market. I urge you not to engage with this service. They aggressively push for course purchases, and once they have your money, communication ceases. Please be cautious and steer clear of this service! The positive reviews are likely fabricated!
