Review Time
The products I’ve received from Prodigi have generally been well printed and packaged. However, I’m increasingly finding the service unreliable.Prodigi offers some framed canvas products that are listed as available for production and delivery within specific countries. I intentionally choose products that don’t require international shipping to avoid excessive delivery costs. But suddenly, without notice, a product that was previously fulfilled locally is only available from the UK - with significantly higher shipping costs. This creates a real problem for my business, as I’m left absorbing the extra cost. That’s simply not sustainable.I can’t keep rewriting my website and Etsy listings every time something changes, and I certainly can’t check the Prodigi catalogue every day to confirm regional availability. It’s unreasonable. If a local printer becomes unavailable and the order has to be fulfilled elsewhere, fine - but the shipping cost should remain the same. As it stands, I'm trying to sell a product with pricing that can change dramatically overnight. That’s not a viable business model. As others have also mentioned, the issue of items showing as "shipped" on the order, but ACTUALLY being shipped days later is also a huge problem. It's disappointing because I do like the products I've received from them. But my printing partner is critical - I need to be able to rely on them 100%.
I've ordered a mix of products over the last few months - invitations, aprons, photo tiles and postcards and they have all been high quality and delivered quickly. When I did have an issue with an order, it was dealt with quickly and professionally by the lovely support team.
The quality of the items is usually very good, as are the timescales for shipping and delivery. However, if an order goes wrong, it takes far too long to resolve. I’ve had two orders go missing in the past month and each have taken between a week and two weeks just to find out what happened. The communication with the customer service rep is also quite poor because although they are responsive, they don’t explain the process and so you’re left frustrated and wondering when it will ever be resolved. This is quite stressful as a small business owner to have to deal with this occasionally, as it puts my business and its reputation at risk.
Have been testing this company to see if I want to include their API in a website tool I'm building as open source. Ordered 8 prints via their interface, different medium, different sizes, different photos. It took 2 weeks to print and ship/receive and only received 3 out of 8 prints. The invoice claims 1 out of 1 shipment. They also state that small items will be flat packed, these were all 8x10 or smaller and arrived in an oversized tube. Support is non existent, nothing more than a bot that tells you to go read articles that have no correlation to items not shipped. I will be disputing the charges and looking for a different vendor if this isn't resolved asap.
As a photographer, oversized statement pieces are essential for clients. The extra-large canvas prints available here, up to 60x40 inches (150x100cm), are game-changers. The grand scale and vivid details make the photographs truly come to life. I'm thrilled to have found such a reliable partner for these impressive prints.
