Review Time
Sitting here at position 35 in the queue enquiring again about a parcel that was sent mid-December and arrived in the depot on 11 January. I called 2 days ago and they said it would be delivered before the weekend. But no 'out for delivery' email and now I have to try and make alternative arrangements for delivery as I'll be out all of next week. (Tho perhaps it wouldn't be delivered then anyway). I didn't choose this company and will check in future if anyone sending me stuff does as I will immediately cancel the order. They don't reply to emails.Update: They told me the parcel would be delivered by the end of the week but I had to change the delivery address because I was away. They delivered it to my house anyway. A neighbour spotted it in the garden and let me know which was fortunate as the cardboard box was getting soaked in the rain.
Ordered from MandM on the 10th of January, order dispatched on the 11th. I received an email from GLS saying they have my parcel and will deliver it on the 15th. I didn't receive my parcel and checked tracking on the 16th and it said undelivered. I rang GLS and the lady said the driver was too busy to deliver it and all she could do was send him a message. I checked tracking on the 18th it said my parcel was back in the centres. I emailed GLS asking where my parcel is and got an automatic reply saying someone will reply as soon as they can. I haven't heard back and my parcel is still in the parcel centre. I am so disappointed and will avoid buying from companies that use GLS to deliver.
The delivery driver made absolutely no attempt to approach the door of my house. He left my parcels on the pillar on the side of a very busy main road which allowed it to be very easily stolen, (We have CCTV footage of no attempt to approach the door or drive way) Also one of my parcels was electrical which was able to be seen on the packaging of the box and he left it in the rain which could have damaged product. This is the only delivery service that I have ever experienced poor delivery effort from. I'm very lucky a family member just by chance happened to notice my parcel while arriving to the house. Someone was also home if they had just bothered to ring the door bell and leave it at front door.
I had a very frustrating experience with the service. I waited three days for my delivery, but the driver never arrived at my location even once. Each day, the tracking was updated with the same note stating "no one was at home," which was completely false — I was present all three days. There was no doorbell, no knock, and no call. Ultimately, I had to switch the delivery to parcel pickup just to finally get my package. This was a significant waste of time and very upsetting. The company needs to enhance delivery accuracy and driver responsibility.
