I don't know what happened to this bank, but recently the controls themselves. They blocked my account and the communication is lengthy. Support keeps transferring me to their relevant department which communicates once a day. I have been using iCard for 3 years, I had it as my primary bank where I had money sent and withdrawn. I also had 4 cards, 2 physical. I left an average of €25+ in fees per month. There have never been any problems in the 3 years so far. First I received an email asking me to document one payment, I documented it here (proof of payment + screen of conversation with the person), the next day I was told that Icard has many cases to resolve, so it will take longer. Of course they blocked my account right away. The next day I was told that I have to document 12 payments for the whole month. This is how iCard treats long-time customers who left so much in fees there. I understand that they have to fulfill their obligation to the EU, but like this? If I were a new user, I would understand, but I have been using the account for 3 years +. This is not how it is done in my opinion. But thank you, I am already looking for another virtual bank that will value a long-time client. I am curious how it will end with iCard, it is possible that I will then edit / delete the review depending on how they behave. But it has damaged trust quite a bit.

Frustrating Experience Every Time

Every single time – literally EVERY TIME – even for small amounts like €100, and even to the same recipient I've used previously, the app flags it for "compliance/AML checks." You face the same repetitive questions over and over: "What's the purpose of this transfer?" "How do you know the recipient?" "Upload proof (invoice, contract, chat screenshot, etc.)" Sometimes they even request details or documents from the beneficiary (!!!). It's not just for initial transfers or large sums – it happens all the time, as if their system randomly targets you to complicate your experience. What should be a quick 10-second SEPA or instant transfer turns into a multi-day ordeal: waiting for chat support, uploading photos, and re-explaining everything... while the recipient is left waiting and pressing you for updates. I understand they are regulated by the relevant authorities and that AML/KYC rules are strict to combat money laundering. However, other fintechs only trigger additional checks for suspicious or high-value transactions, not routinely for every outgoing transfer. With this service, it feels excessively intrusive and inconsistent.

What I value most is how this service allows me to avoid traditional banks that impose transaction restrictions. Furthermore, it isn't bound by the usual banking regulations. In today's environment, it's advantageous to bypass institutional limitations. Frustrating Account Verification Process

The account verification process feels endless. They ask absurd questions, such as requiring detailed explanations about the companies whose products I sell — as if I'm meant to be their encyclopedia. The app is ineffective, and everything seems chaotic. After three weeks of waiting, I was ultimately told: ‘We cannot provide you with the service.’
