I love the way this course is constructed! It was easy to complete when I had the time. I love that it offers audio, video, and a transcript for each module. The Blog and Facebook groups are awesome too! Whenever I read the Blog articles, there are always links to software, tools, and other content. And the content is always informative and worth reading. I can't rate this course high enough. It was definitely worth the investment!
I thought my knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling was rather solid. I suddenly discovered I had so much more to learn. The comprehensive Modules build well upon each other, supplemented by the informative supporting material. Currently working on Module 7, Practice Sets, learning about the various proofreading methods from Module 6 and how to utilize them: Adobe PDF, Word Tracking Changes, Google Docs, and i Annotate. My, how the exciting journey continues!
The ad says ''NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY'' but I would like to know WHAT experience each reviewer has, as well as their AGE. Someone "just out of school" or who has a little or a lot of experience can add "weight" to their review. I'm also interested in the "1 and 2 Star" reviews. and whether the ''positive'' comments by the company has been enacted or not. Maybe the tremendous Discount reflects this. What is the Follow-up to the "criticism"? Has the company addressed the issue in its most recent pronouncements?
Taking the General Proofreading Theory and Practice course by Proofread Anywhere has been a wonderful experience. I enjoyed being part of a community that was there for me every step of the way. If I had questions, I always had someone I could reach out to with my questions or concerns. The course material was very thorough and I'm thankful that I could complete it at my own pace. It gave me direction to develop the skills necessary to pass the final exam. I'm excited to see where this journey takes me.
This course has been a very good investment, for sure. I have learned everything to do with our awesome English language in such tremendous detail. Thank you so much for all your research and knowledge. The only thing I do NOT like is having to build a webpage. I just cannot relate or adjust to doing that. Showit was completely useless for me. I wish there could have been a little more help with that. I chose WordPress and their AI assistance (for a price). I know it's better, for me, than Showit. Showit-Showhat?
This was the best course I have ever done. It beats anything I have studied online or in person. They are very thorough and teach you about all the aspects of proofreading as well as starting a business. I would recommend Proofread Anywhere to anyone!
The course is packed with great content. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the Customer Service. When I email for a question, I’m told to visit the FB page. When I go there, the responses can be a little to Kurt for my liking. I never got my question answered.
I'm getting through it pretty well, but the lack of any screenshots or pictures in the videos is a real drawback. It would be a much better class if you added those, especially if people could see examples of word and PDF edits. Seems like there's a bigger emphasis on starting a business, which is just as important as the proofreading itself, but the proofreading techniques seem rushed. Also, there have been a few occasions where the downloads do not match the description. This class could be so much better.
When I first started, I thought to myself what have I signed up for? Then shortly after, I fell ill with the flu for over a week and could not get out of bed. I was very curious, as I wanted to start the course but just wasn't able to. However, after a few more days I was back to normal, thank God.When I finally started, I was extremely enthralled at how engaging this course content was. At first I felt like deja vu was setting in as it took me back to my childhood in grades 5 and 6. All the memories of what a verb, noun, pronoun, adjective and adverb had me thrilled at how much this course was unlocking my memories of over 55 years ago in a similar setting in school! Wow! I'm loving it. I'm so happy that I took this leap of faith and I can't wait to see where this will eventually take me. Thanks for the opportunity. I feel so blessed.
