I am a volunteer tutor, currently working with a refugee who is trying to simultaneously learn basic English, learn how to use a computer (in general), and learn how to touch type (specifically) - the latter because she is visually impaired. The use of the TTRS program has been a tremendously positive experience for her!! She has been able to follow the lessons independently, track her own progress, and feels incredibly empowered as a result. Independence is important to all adults, but particularly to adults with visual impairment. This has been the highlight of her educational experience over the past 6 months. I would give it 10 stars if I could!!
As a homeschool parent it's difficult to know which spelling curriculums are beneficial and effective. I have found both to be the case with my son. I love the fact that this engages all of his senses so he is seeing, hearing, and engaging (by typing) the spelling of words. A huge bonus is that he is also going to be a proficient typist by the time he gets to middle school. I find this curriculum to be valuable and enriching.
TTRS has been helping us reach out to our special kids since 2019. We can see an improvement in their response especially concerning communication. I also notice that their confidence level has been continually improving. The kids love it as well being such a fun thing to do.
