The management company selected by our developer is responsible for overseeing our estate. The development was completed around five years ago, and we have 47 homes, each contributing £1,000 annually. Despite numerous inquiries, they have been unable to clarify the whereabouts of our funds or the current status of the sinking fund for future replacements. We have yet to hold a single residents' annual general meeting. Recently, they failed to pay the gardening staff for reasons unknown to us. Residents' questions often remain unanswered for years. The majority of our community wishes to replace this management company. There are no resident directors, despite the governing documents indicating that there should be. It would be beneficial if the government intervened to eliminate management companies that fail to manage finances or take necessary actions. Our lawns are now overrun with weeds, as they have not been treated due to the complaint of one resident, while most of us desire well-maintained, weed-free lawns.
I had a very frustrating experience with the credit control team. They recently added a late fee of £50 to my account for service charges, despite my consistent monthly payments as outlined in my lease agreement. I've never missed a payment. I’ve reached out via email multiple times but received no response. This is the second occurrence, and now they're threatening debt recovery with an additional £120 in charges. The level of incompetence is truly remarkable.
This is by far the worst property management company we've ever encountered. Initially, we had a reliable one, but after a takeover, we were left with this one. They continuously increase their fees, adding unexplained charges that they hope will go unchallenged, and they haven't done anything to justify these costs. The condition of the flats has deteriorated from needing minor repairs to becoming outright slums. This situation is heartbreaking for all residents and owners alike. The new area manager has made empty promises and is just as ineffective as the previous one, who has finally been dismissed. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
The billing practices here are terrible! I was hit with a late fee of £50 for service charges, despite paying monthly as per my lease. I've never missed a payment. I’ve emailed multiple times with no reply. This is the second time it’s happened, and now they’re threatening debt recovery with an additional £120 fee. Their incompetence is astonishing.
As a homeowner at this estate, the management is simply unacceptable. We are required to pay a hefty annual service charge for what is essentially neglect and questionable billing practices. The financial conduct of this company is appalling. Despite having paid our annual fee, we are now receiving demands for the next year's charges. This push for early payments, while providing subpar service, shows their true priorities: collecting cash rather than managing properties effectively. Complaints from residents about being overcharged and receiving threatening letters are common. The promised amenities are in disrepair, and basic sanitation is lacking. They ignore emails and fail to address complaints, focusing instead on collecting fees without providing adequate service.
I regret purchasing a property managed by this company. We, along with other tenants, have repeatedly contacted them about ongoing front door issues. This is the second year facing the same problem. Last year, it took them four months to 'fix' it. AVOID THIS COMPANY. Their service is unacceptable.
It's curious that I previously praised them in a review. Since then, they haven't organized the annual general meeting for residents, which is supposed to happen according to their website. Their planning and management are lacking, and there's a clear disconnect with residents, leaving us without a voice in matters that affect us.
