My 50A Renogy Dc-Dc/Mppt Charger (RBC30/50D1S-BT-AU) worked perfectly for almost 2&1/2 years, then failed whilst not being used. (Parked at home with only Solar input). Renogy Service agreed that it was faulty, and even though it was ONLY <6 months out of warranty, refused to replace it, and only offered 10~15% "discount" on a new purchase. Furthemore, because there already was a "less 15%" promotion, they refused to honour the promise of compensation agreed earlier. In my experience and opinion, Renogy AU do not respect the ACCC guidelines on "After warranty" product expectations, and have no respect for their customers, nor do they have confidence in their product longevity.
I received twice the number of solar panels because the product listing was unclear. I reached out to the company right away to set up a return, but instead of a proper return process, I was given discount codes and sales-like replies. The return situation is still unresolved, and now a separate battery order is also delayed. Very disappointing after-sales support.
I have a 1000w inverter and a DC-DC charger. The functionality and cost are very good. The customer service is outstanding. It wasn't clear that the charger would be compatible with my setup. A representative worked diligently to consult the engineering team with my information to confirm that it would function properly.
My 300W suitcase solar panel arrived damaged. I immediately contacted Renogy via the Chat line. Isa was very helpful getting all relevant info and pictures of the damage. Isa created case file, now I will await a replacement and further instructions.I normally detest using a Chat line but Isa made this pleasant experiance.
I had a confusing situation with a new Rover 30 I purchased through Amazon. The issue was really on Amazon’s end — the listing indicated the controller came with a BT-2 dongle, but the factory box only included a BT-1. I noticed the Rover had the RS-485 port and suspected the BT-1 wasn’t compatible with the G2 version (which Amazon hadn’t clearly identified).When I called support, Jen quickly understood my rambling explanation and went straight to solving the problem. She obtained approval to send me a BT-2 at no cost, which was shipped directly to me. One call—problem solved. I love these guys!
