I just wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank Marie Dunham at Robert Ellis Estate Agents in Beeston for everything she has done in successfully selling my property.
Her exceptional support, guidance and perseverance — particularly with such a difficult chain — have been truly outstanding. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and Marie consistently kept me fully updated throughout the entire process. Every query I had was handled with impressive efficiency and professionalism, her ability to navigate each obstacle and keep things moving forward was remarkable.
Reaching a positive conclusion was no small achievement, and I am incredibly grateful for her dedication and commitment from start to finish.
I would not choose any other company to sell my home in the future, and I will wholeheartedly recommend Marie @RobertEllis Beeston to others.
With sincere thanks,
Su Freeley
I contacted Robert Ellis Estate Agents in Long Eaton, Nottingham to arrange valuations for my uncle’s properties and was really happy with how everything was handled. The reason behind the valuations is unfortunate, so it meant a lot that the process was straightforward and stress free all the way from start to finish.
I initially spoke with Freya, she was helpful, courteous and patient as I explained the reason behind everything. Freya arranged the valuation appointments in an efficient and professional way, everything was arranged without any stress, which I really appreciated.
The valuation was carried out by Mike, who was very professional in the way he came across, the way he dressed, and with his many years of knowledge. We found him very easy to talk to and willing to go that extra mile if needed. While chatting I think he mentioned having about 30 years of experience, and it honestly showed. He arrived well prepared, took his time explaining things clearly, and didn’t rush any of the three consecutive appointments. The information he gave was detailed but easy to understand, which was useful when explaining things to my uncle.
The reports were sent through quickly with detailed information in each. They covered everything we needed, and nothing felt missing or overlooked.
Overall, everyone I dealt with was friendly, professional and made a potentially stressful situation feel a lot easier.
It’s clear the team take pride in what they do, and I can see why this branch has such a good reputation in the Long Eaton area.
Thank you to the whole team.

Avoid buying or selling with this agency. We found a house we were interested in and after having a viewing decided to make an offer.Unfortunately after making two offers we were informed the seller wouldn’t consider any offers until after two months once more viewings had taken place. We accepted this and stated we would like to be kept informed. During the process of speaking with the estate agent we were questioned on our deposit amount and whether we would use their mortgage broker. We declined but oddly more questions were asked regarding our finances which would not have been relevent at that point since KYC checks are not carried out until after an offer has been accepted.Months later we had not heard anything so I checked their website and was surprised and disappointed to find the property showing as sold. I immediately questioned why we had not been informed and given the opportunity to increase our offer but the replies I received included outright lies, contradictions and a failure to take ownership of their mistake. Estate agents have a legal duty to keep buyers informed of any further offers after an offer has been made. We believe the reason we were not informed of the further offers after was due to Robert Ellis not wishing to sell to us on the basis that they wouldn’t be making commission from a mortgage broker. This is illegal. I’m therefore in the process of dealing with the ombudsman for this matter to be investigated further. I encourage anyone else who has experienced something similar to do the same. This practice not only negatively impacts buyers but also prevents healthy competition for the seller which could have provided a higher selling price.
I called the Arnold office to make an appointment to see one of the flat in NG7 area. It was tenanted flat. I had a conversation with Meghan. She was not kind enough to get a good impression of her. She had "take it or leave it" attitude. She said she would call the tenant in the flat for an appointment to view the property and never called back. What a rubbish customer service.
I have been working with Ryan Troth-Humphreys at Robert Ellis, who manages repairs and maintenance for houses. Ryan is truly awesome to work with - he responds super fast, follows through on all communication, and quickly reaches resolutions. I've sent him numerous requests and experienced the same exceptional service every time. He consistently handles everything with humility and kindness, making the experience perfect each time.
DISCRIMINATORY, RUDE & IN NO RUSH TO FIND TENANTS FOR YOUR PROPERTIES. I am disabled on full PIP/ UC etc. My current overnight carer alsp works full time and happy to stand guarantor. As he doesn't contribute to my rent or utilities he can't have any tenant rights, so when my health deteriorates I will prefer to have a female carer. I have been trying to arrange a viewing on a bungalow on Beaumont drive. I have rent,/ deposit on standby, yet despite trying 7/8 times they fi ally got back to me today in a rude tone of voice, like having to ring me back was an inconvenience. She gave me a viewing time, then asked what my total household income is.. I explained my situation. & after having to work out the annual income of my carer, and myself, she flatly told me that the required annual income for tenants was (a figure about £200 more than my annual income). I said "oh ok" to which she replied 'bye'before hanging up. I worked in property management and know that specifications such as that should be clearly advertised on their website, and should be outlined when advertising the property....They obviously werent happy with the fact I complained about repeatedly being ignored, & asked if the landlord is aware how hard their agent is trying to drive potentially tenants away. My rent would have been paid by the council due to my degenerative disability, & the fact I currently live in a 1st floor maisonette with 2 flights of stairs to face every fay of the week. I will NEVER Deal with Robert Ellis again.
