While the initial order and delivery went well, the collection of the scaffold tower was frustrating. After paying for a week’s hire and needing to extend, I was confirmed for collection on 13th November but no one showed up. I was told of a two-week delay after the confirmation call. The tower wasn’t collected until 23rd December, after many emails and failed attempts. I lost income from taking time off and had to store the tower for an extra six weeks. The last email falsely claimed an attempt to collect while I was home, and they then asked if I wanted to extend my hire, which I declined.
The initial order and delivery process was smooth, but the collection of the scaffold tower was a nightmare. I paid for a week’s hire and needed an extension, which I also paid for. The collection was scheduled for 13th November, so I took time off work. Even though I received a confirmation call the night before, no one showed up. When I contacted the company, they informed me of a two-week delay in collections, despite the prior confirmation. It wasn't until 23rd December that the tower was finally picked up, after numerous emails and missed collection dates. I lost income from my time off and had to store the tower for an additional six weeks. The last email claimed they attempted to collect it while I was home, which was untrue. They then asked if I wanted to extend my hire, which I certainly did not.
The communication about delivery and collection was lacking, leaving me uncertain about the timings. Even when I called the company on the day, they promised to return my call with details, but that never happened. While the drivers were great, they had no control over the delivery schedules.
The scaffold tower I hired for delivery on Monday arrived late at 17:45 and was delivered to the wrong address—my home instead of the site. It was only collected the following afternoon after the hire period ended. The most frustrating part was the lack of information about the arrival and collection times, indicating poor communication.
I ordered a scaffold tower and boards for a charity project. The tower arrived on Friday, but the boards were missing. Despite multiple phone calls and assurances from customer service, the boards did not arrive by Monday. I was then given the option to cancel the order, which I did. I still haven't received a refund, only a call three days later stating the boards were on the truck. This raises serious concerns about customer service.
