I had a very poor experience with this company and found their pricing practices highly deceptive. After sending in my drive, I received an astronomical quote. When I declined, they immediately dropped the price by $1,000, which made it clear they were simply trying to see how much they could "milk" me for.
Most concerning was the currency switch. Despite being located in Canada and never mentioning USD in previous emails or calls, they claimed the new quote was in US dollars only after I agreed to move forward. This lack of transparency is a huge red flag. Their prices are exploitative, and I no longer trust them with my sensitive data. Avoid at all costs.

The Company gave me a repair quote that was 2 to 3 times more than what other reputable firms charge.I do not trust their sales representatives (even though they are following a script) nor any of the reviews on their website or on google.They are not transparent about pricing online or on the phone. The make a simple repair appear much more complicated in order to intimidate customers who do not know better or who are not technology literate.In the end, I hired a Mechanical Engineer to assist with the repair for a few hundred dollars rather than a few thousand.
I found this company by looking into the warranty of my hard drive. I dropped my almost-new drive from less than a height of 30 cm, because I was upset and rummaging around, and careless. I'm going to look for hard drive protectors after this, like foam or fabric.I sent off my hard drive with a prepaid shipping label, and - because my hard drive recovery wasn't a time priority - a few weeks later they told me that they could not recover anything. They didn't charge me for shipping or recovery. I don't know if another company could have salvaged anything, because there's only so much effort I'm going to put into files that were entertainment. The entertainment files were valuable and irreplaceable but not family photos or anything. It's not likely that another company could have recovered anything, since S.D.R. put so much work into it already.The initial price this company quoted me was crazy high, but when I asked for the drive back, they lowered their estimate to a still high, but almost acceptable one. I wish they would keep their prices reasonable to begin with.So it wasn't the greatest experience, but I didn't lose any money on it. No one ended up happy. Give them a shot if you want, but you might not get your files back, and be prepared for the price to be high.
I contacted Secure Data when one of our employees has his hard drive completely dead and 2 years of work was on there without any backup. I dealt with Timur Granovskii (From beginning to end) he was able to guide me in the direction I was looking for and was very helpful in answering all my questions. Once the hard drive was received, the assessment was done and he immediately called me back to advise me on the problem with the hard drive. He was always super responsive and helpful whenever I had any question or concern. I was really impressed with the service I received from Timur. Very polite very knowledgeable and he knew exactly what I was looking for. From the beginning to the end, he was really amazing by giving us what we wanted and the options we had. Securedata did a great job of recovering my data and getting it back to me. I'm presently working in Kabul, Afghanistan and thought that would present a problem but I found this company that's just north of where I live in the states. I sent them my old mechanical hard drive which suffered a mechanical failure and a new ssd hard drive. They recovered my data, placed it on an external drive (because the ssd I sent them was broken) and sent the old, new, and external hard drives back to me. Their shipping was lightning fast and Elijah went way above and beyond to make me feel like I was the only customer the company had. He kept me informed on what was going on and let me know if there was an issue or not. Great Job!
