Told different opening time for Cairns Office. Tried to book pickup voicemail full can't leave a message had to ge Uber. Arrived only one staff member other Clients also trying to drop off car and also told wrong opening times. They also had to book Uber. Office Staff nice and helpful but terrible Simba Management. Would never use again and would tell others to avoid. When I dropped off car they tried to charge me petrol from a faculty fuel gauge. I had to wait 40mins to be taken to the Airport an almost missed my flight. Terrible and stressful experience 0/10 rating. 😡😡

I had a shocking experience booking yhe car hire through booking.com and being unable to change the driver details. Simba were so helpful and were able to sort out another vehicle for me at the last hour. Will never book car hire through booking.com again and will ensure to book directly with the car company

The most disappointing car rental experience.

This was the most disappointing car rental I have ever encountered. They lure you in with a low price, but once you arrive, the additional fees start piling up. I was in a city where their office closes at 7 PM, and if your flight is early in the morning, they will charge you $75 just to provide a code for the gate to drop off your vehicle. Even after four months of using their service, I continue to see unexplained charges on my credit card.

Outstanding assistance from the staff

I received exceptional help from the staff who provided me with a booster seat at no extra cost after I mistakenly left mine at the airport. They also assisted me with my new booking when another service unexpectedly canceled my reservation, allowing me to adjust the price on a busy day. I will definitely be rebooking with this service in two weeks for my upcoming trip. I won't consider using anyone else now, as the service has been fantastic both in person and over the phone.

I would advise against renting from this service.

Based on my experience, I would not rent from this service again. The initial rental price seemed appealing, but I faced significant pressure at pick-up to buy extra insurance. During my rental, a minor chip appeared on the windshield due to stones from a truck ahead. I have video evidence of the incident and the truck responsible. The damage was not a result of my driving or carelessness. Despite this, the service charged me over €1,000 for what seemed to be a trivial windshield repair. No detailed breakdown or independent assessment justifying this charge was provided. Although the rental agreement included third-party liability coverage, the service confirmed in writing that they did not file any insurance claim and instead charged me directly, claiming that liability always falls on the renter. From my viewpoint, the repair costs seem unreasonable, and the way the claim was handled felt biased and unfair. I am currently disputing the charge with my bank and the appropriate consumer protection authorities. I advise potential customers to thoroughly review the contract terms and consider the possible risks before renting.

⭐ 1/5 – Untrustworthy and unacceptable refund experience Do NOT trust the service with your deposit. We returned the vehicle in October without any damage, yet our security bond was withheld for almost two months. We were consistently misled and informed that the refund had already been processed and would appear by 10 November — which was completely false. The refund was only initiated on 1 December. Emails went unanswered, and during a subsequent phone call, we were incorrectly told the vehicle was damaged, only to be contradicted moments later. This is misleading, unprofessional, and unacceptable. We are now escalating the issue to the appropriate authorities.
