It works very well I am not tech savvy and didn’t activate before leaving home ( and the help of my children) but should have so had to get help to get it going once at our destination
I used my Simify esim last year when we travelled to Spain. It was easy to install and use. I had purchased a second esim for the last part of our holiday, which I couldn't use due to cutting our holiday short because of an injury. The Simify team re-issued the esim with a new expiry date and I was able to transfer it to a friend to use on their holiday instead. Great customer service to be able to do this and not waste it.
Purchased eSim for Japan in 2024 - brilliant (what more can I say). Then another for Bali in 2025 -not disappointed, worked perfectly again. Just purchased one for Borneo - I trust it will provide the same results. Will update when back from trip :)
Customer Service is top notch. Highly recomend. First time user of esims and found Simify pricing reasonable (I researched heaps of different providers). Installation was extremly simple and the guide is step by step really easy to follow. I did have an issue with my global esim, which was my fault. I didnt realise that when I installed it would activate straight away 2 weeks before I even left. I used the chat and the customer service team were very quick to get back to me. They offered to cancel my esim and give me a new esim which I can install on fly out day instead. They were so helpful and quick to help me solve the the problem and I didnt loose any money. I havent left for my holiday yet but Im expecting seamless connection after reading other reviews on this site.
Not only is the eSIM incredibly easy and reliable. But I managed to somehow attach it to an email I was unable to access. One simple message with proof of payment and in no time my man Arlo had my eSIM accessible after my own error. Cheers. Won’t be deleting Simify!
Well....I used to like this company. Their SIMs worked quite well & when they didn't, the customer service was very good and prompt.
But....they now only sell e-SIMs. That's no good for me, so I don't use this company anymore.
It was good while it lasted....
I have not traveled yet to use the actual eSIM, but I felt I had to comment on the awesome service this company provides. Customer support are friendly, knowledgeable and clear in their responses, making me feel like my ignorant questions were totally normal. They went out of their way to give me the clearest answers possible, including doing markups of screen shots I sent so I had a clear visual reference. I would definitely go back again.
I have used Simify several times. The first two experiences were acceptable, as I mainly used data for maps, emails, and light browsing. However, my third and fourth experiences were terrible. While their online chat was responsive, it was ultimately unhelpful.
BEWARE: There is no such thing as “UNLIMITED” data — this is misleading. You might as well stick with the cheaper limited-data plan. If you plan to stream a couple of hours of YouTube each evening, forget it.
Their so-called “fair use” policy seems like a marketing euphemism. In practice, it means they will arbitrarily cut off your data after a certain point, with no warning or clear explanation of when this will occur, regardless of the amount of data you think you’ve used. Instead of throttling usage gradually, your connection just stops completely — even basic services like Google, maps, and messaging often fail.
The most frustrating part? Their app chat seems to bypass this restriction, which feels inconsistent and unfair. I was forced to walk to local cafes constantly just to access reliable data.
Overall, extremely disappointing and not what their marketing promises.
I've used Simify before. I've found it great for travellers to multiple countries. The phone flicks over to the new networks well. Each time I've struggled to get it operating as you need to do some things prior to landing which I seem to stuff up. But after an hour of frustration I finally get it going. Tip. You need to make sure your phone is set up for esims and not blocking in the background.
I managed to set everything up at home with the guide's assistance, and it connected smoothly at the airport with hardly any issues. I'm really pleased, especially since I'm not very tech-savvy and it can be quite frustrating. However, I succeeded in this task, and it feels great to be making progress, as it really simplifies my life! 😊
