Hi Daniel,I’ve been using the SimplyWise cost estimator regularly in my electrical business, and it’s been a great tool for improving how I structure and deliver estimates.It’s helped me stay consistent with pricing, save time on bids, and present a more professional image to clients—especially on larger projects where organization really matters.I can definitely see this being valuable for a lot of contractors looking to tighten up their estimating process and grow their business. I feel like it is easy to navigate and understand. I would appreciate if there was a way to generalize small jobs into like a miscellaneous section or like a honey-do-list. Small jobs as in reconnecting a hose or drain under a sink that would only take a few minutes to do. I have a jobs where they have a honey-do-list of small jobs and instead of listing out each individual job on the list, it would be nice if I could group them into a misc/ honey-do-list and put a set price one that one section of the bid. Also on the LiDAR, it would be nice to be able to interact with the lines to help guide it to get a more accurate blue print. It would also be nice to share blue prints created from using LiDAR to other users, my uncle and i tag team jobs but operate under separate LLC’s but it would be nice to be able to share files/ bids and blue prints with each other without having to email it and then go back to assign the bid to the correct client. If these requests are at all possible I have no issue with answering any phone calls or emails to go into depth? I really enjoy this app and would love to see it grow, from one small business owner to another.
I have been pleasantly surprised with how well this app works. It took a tremendous amount of workload off of me when it came to do an estimates. Now I can hire an estimator to go out and gather information and simply input the information into the app and let it do the generating. He will then send it to me to doublecheck and I approve or disapprove of the numbers and he’s able to send it back to the client in a very short period of time. So I’ve been pleased with the app.
I gave it a trial run months ago and decided to keep using the app. The amount of time to get estimates done declined significantly. The way it breaks down different scopes of work and different trades is amazing, especially to the clients. It’s great how you can add photos and have the option to generate a finished look to the project helps the clients understand what to expect.
This is a very easy to use app and I can literally have a customer a quote before I leave their driveway and it is in detail with everything and puts together a material list for me. I would definitely recommend this app for anybody in this field.
