Is not an actual cell number (despite their claim). It is a VOIP number and not accepted by PayPal and some other financial sites to send security verification codes to. I had another issue where I could not reset or change my voicemail greeting. Its been 2 days after I asked for a refund. Crickets. Service is trash, dont waste your money! Apple and google app store should remove it.
SLYNUMBER claims that their phone numbers are real Mobile Numbers, DON'T BE FOOOLED their phone numbers are straight up VIRTUAL NUMBERS, SLYNUMBER has the following message right on their website. "Google Voice, Burner, Hushed, Sideline, Phoner, Ding Tone, and Text Free offer VoIP numbers that come with numerous limitations and are currently rejected by many online services and apps. SLYNUMBER is the only mobile app on the market to offer REAL MOBILE NUMBERS No SIM card is required.Just call them LYNUMBER because their phone numbers are VIRTUAL NUMBERS, I purchased a 3 month package and I tried using the number with Cash App & WhatsApp and both times the LYNUMBER was rejected and denied, I received a message from both Cash App & WhatsApp saying they do not accept virtual numbers.And when I emailed LYNUMBER 3 hours after making the purchase well within the first 24 hours of the purchase (which is what their refund policy states must be done in order to receive a refund) they tried telling me that my refund request was not within the 24 hour window that is stated on their refund policy after I knocked that excuse down, they decided to question my truthfulness, Rather then refunding my card as I asked them to do, They offered me the opportunity to change and replace the number I originally chose when I established the account. I decided to give LYNUMBER a chance to redeem themselves, Now remind yourselves they knew the first number did not work with Cash App or WhatsApp, So you'd think that they would make sure the number they were switching me to would work no questions asked on apps like Cash App or WhatsApp......The new number they gave me, DID NOT TEXT AT ALL.. THE NUMBER DID NOT WORK PERIOD. SOO, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH LYNUMBER THESE GUYS ARE CROOKED & MISLEADING.You won't be happy,
Adding one star because after telling them I was going to report them everywhere and posting these bad reviews they gave me my money back… still not a good experience at all! They take your money for a faulty product and don't refund you!! I tried this less than 2 hours ago - they said it works with any app - just like a real phone number - but that isn't true - PayPal (one of the apps they say is supported) immediately clocked it as an VoIP number. Didn't work. So I cancelled and asked for my money back. They said "sorry since you subscribed over 24 hours ago we can't refund you" which is NOT true. I will edit this review if they fix it but it’s looking like I need to dispute this with my bank and get a new card which is just BS!
TL:DR: poor service, fraudulent charges, lack of supportThey keep charging me for a full year now although I stopped using their service after it didn't live up to my expectations. Namely, they failed to guarantee a way for me to continuously use the same number.Their support assured me that they cancelled the account, but to date they have charged me a total of 4 3-month payments of $8.99 for absolutely nothing. I do not have access to any numbers they provide - OR to my account.What's more, they effectively locked me out of a Gmail account as I used this number as a backup.They stopped replying to the emails I send to their support and, when I cancelled my credit card, they had the audacity to somehow charge my new card - this means that they have access to my account, not just a card, and I DID NOT give them a permission for this.I have reported fraud to the bank and encourage you to steer clear of this service.
