Review Time
In August 2025 I ordered a Lycamobile France eSIM. After payment, there was a long delay with no confirmation or activation, so I reasonably assumed the payment had not gone through and placed a second order.
Later I received confirmations for two eSIMs, which appears to have been caused by delayed processing of the first payment.
I contacted customer support immediately, explained that the second order was unintentional, and requested cancellation. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response.
From the following month, Lycamobile began charging me two monthly fees. I contacted support several times regarding the duplicate charges. I received only one general reply, and the billing issue was not resolved.
I then clearly requested cancellation of the service and asked for all charges to be stopped. These requests were not acknowledged, and billing continued. There also appears to be no effective way to cancel the service via the account or website.
As a last resort, I had to close my payment card to prevent further charges. Despite this, there were continued attempts to charge the closed card.
What concerned me most is that I later received a notification about a successful payment to Lycamobile made using another bank card whose details I have never provided to Lycamobile. I was not given any explanation for this.
Overall, this experience involved repeated billing problems, lack of effective customer support, and unresolved cancellation requests. Based on my experience, I would advise caution when considering Lycamobile France.
Scam Alert.
So I have been a victim of Lyca for over 4 months. By the time I am writing this review, I got charged twice for literally no reason. My bundle gets renewed every month 5th. And they give a message that they will collect the payment on 7th, but I have always cleared my payment on 5th. For this month, it was the same. But just now, they charged me again. As I am going for a portability (keeping my same number of Lyca but with Lebara), I am now tensed whether I will ever be refunded or not.
And what refund. I never even got to talk with any customer care of them. Not sure if they have any or not. They have made a sick chatbot, literally some small business from a third world country can have a better chatbot. I am just wondering that this is France. This is the situation of business and communication in the first ever country of the world.
Their esim wouldn't work. They kept my money. I paid to order another one. I was charged and it was never sent.
Update. My email address is not alowed to be shared on trust pilot and I don’t have a number with you because my eSIM didn’t work. I bought the prepaid under another email and it never arrived.
If you want to make it right, either refund me of send me my eSIM I paid for.

Lyca was the first sim I bought prior to arriving in france, i had issues with activation when I landed, then it was a hectic battle to activate it, afterwards I have only been having isssues with lyca, such as autorenewal not working, no coverage even in an emergency situation and the customer care is the worst !
Lyca Mobile - an unscrupulous company that sells mobile internet blocks payments for using their services and never resolves any issues with their SIM cards. When you purchase any LycaMobile plan, an automatic payment is activated from the bank card you specify. This is stated in the contract, but not indicated when purchasing the SIM card. Even if you have connection issues or your card is blocked, your card will still be charged the monthly fee for your lost plan.If you have problems with LycaMobile, how do to disable automatic payment?1) Use a card from a reliable bank; in case of problems, the bank will refund your money for an unfairly blocked card.2) Disable automatic payment in the app:- Log in to your account through the mobile app (or on the LycaMobile website)- Go to the menu: Menu > Set up auto top-up - there you will see the “list of available cards” where you may see your prepaid bank card; and the option to “stop auto top-up”? you will be not available to remove your bank card prior to stopping auto payment. So, the first your step is to “cancel auto top-up”, the cancellation will be completed after 24 hours. After 24 hours you may enter again to the same menu and remove your bank card from the payment list. But keep in your mind that if you still going to use your LycaMobile SIM card, the not in-time payment may cause to change your bundle conditions. You are welcome. I hope it is helpful. Bienvenue !
