No Interest in Fixing Issue - Very Nasty Attitude

This past weekend, I placed my first online delivery order with Petaluma Smart & Final Iris because they had a huge sale on 2-liter soda. They charged me a $10.00 delivery fee and $5.00 driver tip (which I increased to $7) but I did not receive MOST of the items ordered. My shopper was in contact via SMS while shopping, and even sent me a message asking if it was OK to send .88 lb instead of a full pound of Bok Choy. They NEVER mentioned that about 2/3 of the other items would be left off my order. The driver brought the order to the wrong door on the side of my house when I'd given clear instructions to leave it on the floor in the open garage (he walked right past a sign that says "leave packages here"). I have emailed Smart & Final Iris about sending me the missing items, since I had already paid the full delivery fee & tip but only received 2 small bags of groceries. They keep arguing that I wasn't charged for the missing items, which is NOT THE POINT. So much for customer service - I will never order from this scam center again.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!!! I had a terrible experience with them at their store in Carpinteria, I went to the store this past Saturday which was during the big Avocado Festival. When I got there the parking lot was empty, no surprise. I decided to go to the porta potties at the edge of the parking lot with my shopping bag in my hand as I know the one in the store is locked and I didn't want to take an employee's time to unlock the door so I could pee. When I left the port potty and walked toward the store I noticed a piece of paper on my windshield. It turns out their "security guard" had put a notice that they were going to tow my car. This was after being parked for about 5 minutes. When I went into the store to complain the woman by the door told me she was the manager. When I explained the situation, she and the cashier right there and the "Service Manager" were all VERY snarky. They accused me of parking there to go to the festival even though I had my shopping bag in my hand!!! They also accused me of being in the lot too long. Really, I know I'm older but taking a couple of minutes to pee isn't unreasonable. When I pointed that out, the "manager" told me that I'm ONLY allowed to park there when I'm actually INSIDE the store. Sooooooo, they expect me to beam from my car directly into the store??? Unfortunately, no one was smart enough to understand that the ONLY acceptable answer would have been " Sir, I apologize for misunderstanding. Please don't worry, I'll go out and explain to the security guard that this was a mistake and make sure your car isn't towed. Now please go and enjoy your shopping in the store." But no, just snarky defensive arguments by their uneducated, untrained minimum wage employees. GREAT job Smart & Final. No wonder you were taken over by a huge Mexican chain.

Cashier actitud

I went to Smart and final in La Cumbre on 9-13-2025, and I ask the cashier about some things and I realized that she didn't have her name and then I asked the cashier what is your name, she answered me with a horrible attitude and told me, my name is here on my the chest, but I don't see it, and I told her excuse me but you don't have your name it's just a line on your badge, attitude and anger she tells me my name is on my badge and I told her, it's not true you just see a line that's not your name, so to avoid arguing further I left from the store. So be careful with that cashier, she is Asian with a thin feature. Saturday September 13 at 11:00 AM

Too high price for a little big of dryice

I don't speak Spanish the cashier keep talking to me in Spanish did not understand that wi good paid to much for the dry ice i want my money back that is did not last long if she would of talk to me in English maybe I would not have bought it and put it back you people are ripping off the customer 13 dollars for a little bag ?? Gave me my money back or give me a bag of ice.

Misleading posted price

Price on the shelf of Crystal Geyser drinking water says 4/$5.00 , but at the register I was charged 1.49 each. When I complained and showed the manager a picture of the posted price , he did not care. I have a picture I can post

Warning!!

Warning - Do not buy vendor gift cards at the store in Norco! We bought 2 different Amazon gift cards from this facility, only to find out that they have already been used. I came in with both cards and receipts and was told by the cashier that they are not responsible - after the card leaves the store. WHAT???? That's like saying - whatever you buy here, you are on your own. Hope it works right, taste right, made right - etc.... How can they not be responsible for an item sold in their store. Makes me wonder about their management and policies. I will think twice about ever coming back to shop here.

Smart & Final False Advertising.

Smart & Final sucks. They have false advertising to get you into the store. They have a big ad for corned beef with a digital coupon and when i went to the store there is nothing there. Not even an empty space where they should be. The store workers didn’t even know what I was talking about when I asked where they were. I doubt the store ever had them. When I asked for a rain check I was told Smart & Final does not give them for advertised products. They have lost a long time customer.

I had A great experience at smart and…

I had A great experience at smart and final in Porterville. I needed Something last minute and couldn’t find it quickly. I stopped someone who i thought Was a normal employee to direct me and towards the end of our conversation found out he was a manager. Andy cerda stopped what he was doing to help me without a problem. He walked me to the exact location. It was my fault for not seeing it. It was clearly labeled and right where it should have been. Andy and his team were so helpful and appreciated them enough to leave a review.
