As a frequent flyer, I can confidently say this was my last flight with SpiceJet. I will never prefer this airline again.
SpiceJet is among the worst aviation services in India.
It’s disappointing and painful to experience such poor service.
Thanks, SpiceJet, for an experience I won’t forget — for all the wrong reasons

I was flying from Ahmedabad to Dubai, and the flight attendant team—especially a crew member named Rahul—provided great hospitality. They served good food and complimentary coffee, and spoke very politely. It was wonderful to have such a caring person on board.
Firstly they changed the flight by an hour the day before. Then when we eventually boarded we were left sitting on the plane for almost an hour sweating our arses off. The pilots lack of communication with us paying customers keeping us informed with what the problem was non existent. If that wasn't bad enough, they wouldn't allow anyone to use the rest room. To top it off the male cabin crew (we'll call him ROMEO) was flirting and laughing with the blonde senior cabin crew colleague openly. Unprofessional and lacking
On 17 January, my SpiceJet flight (Kolkata ✈️ Hyderabad) was preponed at the last minute.Because of this airline-initiated change, I reached the airport to find the baggage counter closed.Despite being within my permitted baggage limit, I was stopped at the boarding gate and forced to pay ₹5,250 or miss the flight. No announcement. No assistance. No option to move baggage to the aircraft hold.Boarding was still going on. The aircraft hadn’t even departed. As a single woman traveller, travelling to meet my son studying at IIT Kharagpur, and a school principal by profession, this experience was mentally harassing and humiliating.Passengers don’t oppose rules. They oppose being punished for airline failures.Legal notice issued.Accountability awaited.@flyspicejet @dgca_india @moca_goi#PassengerRights #WomenTravellers #AirlineAccountability #MentalHarassment #DGCA #CivilAviation #TravelIndia #ConsumerRights
I recently flew from Dubai to Ahmedabad. At the boarding gate, I encountered something unusual: staff were strictly weighing all hand luggage, not checking dimensions, but the weight alone.I placed my backpack on the scale, confident I was well within the 7kg limit. That's when the "fun" began. I was instructed to place my duty-free purchases on the scale as well. In all my years of traveling, this was a first.I had purchased a couple of bottles of alcohol, adding about 3.5kg. Apparently, according to the airline's rules, everything carried in hand - handbag, purse, duty-free bag - counts toward the total 7kg allowance. This pushed me 1kg over the limit, resulting in an extra charge. To add insult to injury, once boarding was complete, I realized the flight was barely 60% full. This wasn't about the practical implication of cabin weight or space; it was about the strict, unforgiving application of a rule for an additional fee.I later confirmed on their website that duty-free items are indeed included in the limit. While I technically breached the rule, I find the airline's approach in this instance to be excessively revenue-focused, especially given the empty cabin. I don't mind paying when I'm clearly taking advantage, but this felt like an unnecessary squeeze for cash.
