Not long ago, I bought some spices from Jazz on the Green, hailing from Sri Lanka. They brought a genuine Sri Lankan taste to my lentil curry, which turned out fantastic. I included a dash of chili powder, turmeric, garlic, onions, a bit of tomato puree, some stock, and mixed in lentils with various vegetables. Outstanding! I'll definitely be using these spices again and plan to explore the recipes available on your website.
We have been to Jazz on the Green many times and love it. A really fabulous grass roots event with delicious food and incredible music. The passion and enthusiasm of both Sepali and Neil along with the lovely people who run Crediton Arts Centre make for a very special evening.
What a great community event. Sepali puts on an amazing Sri Lankan spread to delight the senses. Her love of sharing part of her culture through food shows as she always has a warm smile on her face, with everyone going home with full bellies!The jazz music was great with an appreciative and friendly audience. Everything is very very good at this event!Most interesting and delicious authentic Sri Lankan food, really like home cooking. Varied, colourful, wholesome and hearty. Real food for the soul.And amazing to find top quality jazz music in a small venue in the middle of Devon.It’s a lovely venue; friendly, quirky, stylish.Altogether The best! We are so happy to have found it and return every month for more.
I recently purchased some Sri Lankan spices from Jazz on the Green. I used them in a lentil curry, they were very good and created an authentic Sri Lankan flavour. I added a teaspoon of chilli powder, turmeric, garlic, onions, spoonful of tomato puree, some stock and lentils with vegetables. Excellent, will be using the spices again and going to try the recipes on your web site too.
