I've ordered from Surplus and Outdoors three times starting July 2016 when I bought some Grade 1 Altberg Defender Boots, then again in November 2018 when I was fortunate to grab some new-old-stock, 1960s issue, Danish Civil Defense Wool Trousers, and then just the other day when I got some Super Grade Haix Desert Boots (a military issued variant of the civilian P6 high) and a Super Grade "Wooly Pully".They're a traditional high-street army surplus shop which also trades online, and I feel that the honesty required at a physical shop is echoed in their online store.The store is easy to navigate and well structured with overlapping categories, sub-categories and a general search input. It is fast loading and secure, with no frivolous, unnecessary clutter; it's helpfully straight-to-the-point.Each (sub-)category has a description of what to expect, and images of items within. There is a good, large range of stuff, but, of course, whether what you're looking for is available is subject to availability, the market and your own subjective desires/needs.Sizing, colour, style etc. type options, along with grading information and selection, item descriptions and any specific notices and so on are present for each product; everything you need to know is right in front of you at all times, with a "Have a Question?" form to submit if needed.They have done an excellent job in presenting their stock clearly and, from my experience, honestly; the Haix boots I just got were described as "Like new or new, with no wear on soles, amazing condition..." and that is exactly what I recieved; the accompanying jumper, my wool trousers, and Altbergs, all exactly as described and expected.Ordering is a cart-based breeze (they use iShop I think) following well established protocols, with confirmation emails for order, dispatch and delivery. They dispatch very promptly in sensible, minimal packaging, using reliable delivery services. They have never spammed me or asked me for feedback, not once.A good range of stuff at fair prices, well organised and presented, honestly and conveniently online, by a long established, traditional high-street shop.
I have ordered many times form the is shop and I can definitely say the service and ease of purchasing and having it delivered it's brilliant Also the items I've ordered have been amazing quality considering the items are surplus and menat to be used, they come almost brand new
I have just bought two Highlander Outdoor long-sleeved thermal tops from Surplus and Outdoors. They will make excellent base layers when I'm out cycling on chilly days. They were great value for money and I doubt I'd have got any branded cyclewear, of comparable quality, at the great price of £11.99 plus postage. This is my third purchase from Surplus and Outdoors. All of their products have been just what I needed and they have always got the goods delivered quickly to me. I'm sure I'll be buying from them again!
I couldn't find a genuine second magazine for my FX Drs anywhere, but then I saw it on The Surplus Store UK ,and it was £22.00 cheaper than the official importers site!Great price and rapid ( next- day) delivery.I'll definitely be back in the future.
I was sent some replacement patches for a smock which were supposed ro be included with the smock. Incorrect postage was paid by the company so had to pay a fee to get it emailed the company and provided evidence of whst I paid I was advised 5 days ago a refund would be made but no such refund has been received. I feel the customer service with the company has gone right down hill I won't buy from this company again
Store dispatched by item (red sash) same day it was ordered. Brilliant, quality and prefect for want I need it forOnly complaint and this isn't anything to do with the store but the item was sent first class and took over a week to get to me via Royal mail whien the store is only an hour away from me.
Don’t use them. I ordered something for my webbing was only £20 never arrived, emailed them they said it would be a few days 12 days later still no item had to go elsewhere to get it. I emailed them for a refund and have heard nothing since…. SCAMMERS. Have been reported
