I already had a catio but due to age it needed some repairs and wanted to add some extra enrichment for the feline family. Met Dan at The Cat Show Live 2025, and asked some advice regarding repairs and what could be added to the space. We had a couple of FaceTime calls so he could see the space, take into account what I wanted, and also give his perspective on what might work. I received a detailed quote quickly with plans and cost.Dan kept in touch throughout the planning process. Once a date was agreed he arrived when he said he would, and completed the build with no disruption and. The most important thing for me is that cats love it, and I know they are safe.
Dan did exactly what he said he was going to do, when he said he was going to do did, which it made it easy for me to plan around. Excellent experience.
We contacted The Cat Proof Fence Company around Christmas as we had just adopted our two little Beans and wanted to secure the garden to allow them space to roam whilst keeping them safe. There are a large number of cats and dogs in our area and the girls are so small and had been indoor cats previously so we wanted to make sure they were safe. We contacted several other pet fence companies at the same time to enquire and ask for quotes.A well-known pet fence company provided an outrageous quote based nothing other than a satellite Google search, and we didn’t hear from either of the other companies we contacted.Daniel, from The Cat Proof Fence Company did get back to us really quickly – and we sent the requested information, photos, dimensions of the garden etc and received a very detailed quote based on the different levels in our garden, garden furniture, as well as the breed of our cats! We were impressed and more than happy with the level of detail given in the responses and voice notes, as well as the quote and went ahead with booking in at the end of March 2026.Daniel came a day earlier than initially planned to start the job, bring equipment etc – unfortunately we had some issues with the neighbours who, although had given their consent months prior, became upset about “Their View” being disrupted by the posts being installed. Daniel took this in his stride and gave alternatives – this meant the original plan had to be re-thought for a part of our garden and most of the work he and his colleague had done on the Sunday had to be undone on Monday when replacing the posts and brackets with brackets with a lower angle to keep the neighbours “happy”.Although we were given an estimate of 6 days, the work was completed within 4/5. Everything was thought of – including a zip in the pet fencing so we can still access behind our out-building – and we can leave this open to provide an escape route for cats that may get into the garden when we’re on away from home. Daniel mostly worked on his own and was really thorough, especially on the last day, checking and rechecking everything to make sure all points of “escape” were blocked off. We let the girls out for the first time whilst Daniel was still here and it was lovely to see them in the garden. We both spoke to Daniel many times over the week. He clearly has a love for cats, and has cat proofed his own garden to keep his little terrors safe! This is clearly a business he feels passionate about which has given us peace of mind about our girls' safety. He also gave us some ideas for catifying some of the areas in our garden, and has left us with spare netting in case we choose to set up a smaller area for them to go outside without supervision (also his idea) Unfortunately, the weather has still been a bit cold but our girls have been really enjoying exploring and playing outside, and cry to be let out when we get up in the morning. We’re looking forward to enjoying the summer, knowing our girls are safe. Thanks so much to Dan!! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you and your company to anyone looking to cat proof their garden 😊
Dan was great from initial consult to providing a detailed plan and plan he components we need for our self install. Any hiccups we came across installing he was at the end of the WhatsApp chat with advice and solutions. Would highly recommend, so far the little escape artistes have not bypassed the installation and are safely enjoying the garden.

It’s old and uneven, and unfortunately just not suitable to be fully cat-proofed with this type of setup. There was absolutely nothing wrong with Dan’s product.Dan couldn’t have handled it better. Met Dan after having a brief chat with him at the Cat Show. Dan was very patient when I put things on hold due to death of my mother.He arrived on the due date - with his dad helping- and was a pleasure to deal with. He worked quickly and efficiently and left no mess.We already had a cat fence with insecure spinners on top so Dan devised a way to attach the curved mesh top pieces. Also attaching some mesh to the bottom of a gate that the older cat was too fat to get under - but not the kittens.! Would whole heartedly recommend him.
