Trip to Columbia We had an amazing eight day holiday in Columbia. Every step of the way we were looked after by knowledgeable, helpful and friendly guides together with cheerful drivers. In the background, Wendy sorted out any of our queries and questions extremely efficiently. She kept everything running like clockwork, brilliant.
This was a fantastic trip. All the planning was just spot on - great communication, thorough research, and as we are experienced travelers who like to have some ‘control’, we were able to have good input into the process. Guides were absolutely wonderful, as were the hotel’s, transportation and activities. We loved it all!
My wife and I have traveled the world and had good and bad experiences. The people from Travel Local were the very best we have ever experienced. We cannot praise them highly enough. There were some issues - mostly caused by third parties , but the people in this company went to extraordinary lengths to ensure that all issues were overcome.
I wasn't certain I wanted my next big trip to be to Colombia, until I connected with The Colombia Trip and Andrea. Her expertise about her country, her travel design experience, and her knack for knowing what we would like, was evident in our 1st communications. She earned our trust very early, with attention to some details other travel companies gloss over. We worked on the itinerary together, and her suggestions and choice of routes/activities reflected her interest in making certain we would have an amazingly smooth and imaginative journey, We felt looked after every step of the way! They really know their country, and the local folks that made our trip so unique. We made friends everywhere we went, and stayed in beautiful places we would never have found on our own...or with other another bigger travel agency. Most professional, personal, and responsive travel tour company we've ever used, in any country. Andrea is a winner, and I'm especially happy to now call her a good friend.
Cannot speak highly enough of this tour. At each destination we were greeted with amazing local tour guides, each one with fascinating insights and stories that we simply wouldn’t have read in a guide book. Andrea and her team make your tour feel truly special, and personally, we cannot wait to come back. Worth every cent. I can’t say enough about Travel Local company. Columbia was even better than I expected. The guides were outstanding and they actually became friends. Everything was flawless. The food was fantastic. The country was absolutely stunning. The Colombian people were so nice the guides we had in each of the cities that we visited were so knowledgeable. The places we stayed were authentic and charming. Truly a shame of the United States to put a warning not to go to columbia. . We felt safe the whole entire time. We even went to a part of Columbia that most Americans don’t go to. The history, wars, etc. I learned so much I highly recommend going. Use Travel Local
