I don’t normally go out of my way to leave reviews, but The Farmer’s Dog has earned it.
Their customer support has been excellent. Every question I’ve had has been answered quickly and thoroughly, and I’ve always felt taken seriously.
The biggest difference, though, has been in my dogs. They’ve lost weight, their joints seem better, and their energy is noticeably higher. They’re not just surviving, they’re thriving.
And here’s the surprising part: my black lab is incredibly picky and usually gets bored with food fast. He hasn’t gotten bored once with The Farmer’s Dog.
I’ve seen mixed reviews, and I can’t speak for anyone else. No brand is perfect. But after doing my research and comparing several options, this one stood out for quality and standards. For our family, it’s been worth it.

This is such a great company and has such good quality anti-inflammatory, nutrient-dense food for your pups!
I love the non-gluten options, with the parsnips or brussels sprouts. I ordered the chicken, turkey, and beef options and each of them are unique. With healthy vegetables. So healthy and clean ingredients. Love love!!
Even the different treats! I ordered the beef liver, apple, and sea salt ones. To help with liver/iron.
Even the team is so supportive, empathetic, and passionate to help and about dogs.
I ordered for my brother’s dog, to help extend her life and to educate him/family on the benefits of real homemade dog-food, at an affordable price.
I know this food will help Sandy live longer on her last days and I’m sharing to all my family and friends about The Farmers Dog. And will continue to spread the word to others.
I’ve worked in the health industry for humans and I see the extra steps, The Farmer’s Dog take to have clean ingredients.
I need to also give a shout out to Emma and Kate. Who were so helpful along this journey to help my brother‘s dog live longer.

The commercials dont lie. First the dirty part haha my dogs ate kibble and pooped 3 times a day and a lot. Now they barely poop because their body keeps the good stuff which is all of it. My dogs are picky I had to put what I called skooby snacks, table scraps gravy meat etc in their dinner nightly or they wouldn't eat. Now they eat just farmers dog and are so excited as I prepare it and devour it and lick their bowls clean! Can't say enough good. And not terribly expensive!
I want to be clear that I did not buy this dog food. The main issue is that I couldn't locate an ingredient list. There were plenty of elaborate descriptions about what dogs should eat and the reasons behind it, but no thorough ingredient list for any of the packages.
The food was truly excellent—my dogs really enjoyed it. However, the billing process was quite confusing and disappointing. I was charged on the 1st and then again on the 8th, despite the support team indicating that billing happens every 14 days. If billing was supposed to be every 14 days from the 1st, the next charge should have been on the 15th, and I hadn't even received the first shipment before the second charge was attempted. Due to the misalignment between billing and delivery, I ended up canceling, which was frustrating since the product itself was wonderful.
My dogs absolutely love the food, and whenever I've had questions or needed assistance, the support team has been outstanding. I've had to modify portions for my growing pups and adjust to my own schedule, and they have always been prompt and eager to assist, showing genuine care in their service! I am truly grateful for making the switch to this feeding option.
I'm really impressed with this service! My dog enjoyed the food, and having his name on it was a cute touch! Plus, he received a complimentary cooling bag and a storage container! I highly recommend this for picky eaters! He absolutely loved it! I will definitely purchase again!
Initially, we prepared meals for our dog, but as the symptoms of Cushing's disease worsened, we opted for a subscription with a pet food service. They reliably delivered high-quality meals on time and provided excellent customer support. Sadly, our beloved pet passed away (Oct 27) due to complications, and we decided to cancel our subscription. The service refunded our last order, which arrived just after our pet's passing, and even sent a lovely plant that we now keep in memory of our dog. We plan to adopt another dog in the future and will definitely remain a loyal customer of this service.
The Farmer's Dog does not do a good job of explaining how their program works. Their site just says the they do the math based on your dog type and size and nutrition needs. What you quickly find out is that they are banking on you, the customer, not getting to their website fast enough to stop the shipments - which double in size every time. By the third shipment, you have nearly two months worth of food and no where to store it and have to throw away very expensive food. This is a company looking to move as much product as possible. Incredibly dishonest behavior.
Finally—A Fresh Food Company That Doesn’t Cut Corners. I just wanted to share how grateful I am for The Farmer’s Dog and their thoughtful team. My pups have been thriving on this food — his energy, coat, and overall happiness say it all 💛I switched over from another fresh food company because the portion sizes kept getting smaller after a few months. I found that I was paying more and receiving less. I’ve been with the Farmers for over a year now and still impressed by the consistency of the quality and quantity. I have three dogs so I usually mix this with a freeze dried dog food. The customer service with Farmers dog has always been courteous, kind and helpful. I also love how the remaining portions can be tracked in my account to ensure that I receive just the right amount in each order. Thank you, Farmer’s Dog, for going above and beyond and for truly caring about the health and longevity of our beloved fur babies.❣️🙏🏽
