I recently returned from a splendid journey with Tibet Vista Travel, and the experience was nothing short of unforgettable. A huge part of what made this trip so exceptional was our guide, Ga Rong. His deep knowledge of Tibetan history, religion, and culture brought every site to life, and his sincerity and warmth made us feel both welcomed and well cared for. He checked in with us constantly to ensure we were adapting well to the high altitude, and his genuine concern made a big difference throughout the journey.
This wasn’t just a trip filled with scenic photo stops—it was an immersive cultural experience. We stepped into ancient temples, witnessed the daily lives of monks, observed how they pray, and even watched their lively debate sessions. These moments offered us a rare glimpse into the heartbeat of Tibetan spirituality.
There was plenty of fun and adventure, too! From riding on a yak, to getting up close with majestic Tibetan mastiffs, Tibetan calligraphy and flag printing, every activity added to the richness of the journey. The landscapes were absolutely breathtaking—Namtso Lake and Yamdrok Lake were stunning, their turquoise waters framed by fresh mountain air and sweeping horizons.

I contacted this agency to obtain the necessary permits for a trip to Lhasa that my friends and I were planning ourselves. We were very clear from the beginning: we only needed the permits and would handle our own flights, hotels, and excursions once we arrived.Despite our explicit instructions, they sent us a detailed itinerary full of expensive excursions and treks that we did not request. When we asked for a revised quote that only included the permits, we were shocked to learn the price was the same: a staggering $1,200 for two people.They essentially expected us to pay $1,200 for the privilege of walking around the city on our own, without any of the included tours. This is a deceptive and unfair pricing model. I strongly advise other independent travellers to steer clear of this company to avoid being scammed.

We went on the 10 days tour with Tibet Vista on 1st November. It was a comprehensive itinerary that covered a lot on the attractions of Tibet, including historical and cultural sites, and magnificent scenery. It was planned well enough to help us acclimatise with the altitude.I would like to specially commend our guide Ga Rong, who was very knowledgeable in Tibetan culture and Buddhism. He was also caring and hardworking and made sure we were fine and our needs were met everyday. As we were in a group that had different language requirements, our guide Ga Rong patiently explained in both English and Mandarin, and was happy to answer any questions that came up later.
Joy, our guide in Tibet, was tireless and wonderful. She shared her knowledge, accompanied us with our needs, and was always very prompt and available. My experience in Tibet was wonderful, and I owe a lot to our guide, Joy. I highly recommend her!!!
