As a CEO in the music consulting field, I registered for the service anticipating a top-tier high-fidelity experience. Unfortunately, the platform was entirely non-functional. Tracks required over 10 minutes to buffer and frequently dropped out, rendering it unusable. Even after requesting a refund within 24 hours of my purchase and demonstrating that other platforms work flawlessly on the same network, the support team denied my request, citing a strict 'no refund' policy. They are essentially charging for a service they are unable to provide. I recommend steering clear of this platform if you need dependable playback.
Within 24 Hours Rating: ⭐As a CEO in the music consulting space, I signed up for TIDAL expecting a professional-grade high-fidelity experience. Instead, the service was completely non-functional. Tracks took 10+ minutes to buffer and constantly dropped out, making the service 'unfit for purpose.Despite requesting a refund within 24 hours of purchase and proving that other services (like SoundCloud Go) work perfectly on the same network, TIDAL support refused to help, citing a rigid 'no refund' policy. They are essentially charging for a service they are failing to deliver. Avoid this platform if you actually need reliable playback.
The more they work on the app, which is constantly updated, the worst it gets. The app wasn't great, but the feature they are adding right now makes it less user friendly & the constant updates are annoying.Updates are not optional, by the way, so now, one of my laptop isn't even compatible with the newest version of the app anymore, even though said version automatically installed & replaced the previously compatible one. No way to download an old version of the app either on the site, so I just lost the ability to listen to music via Tidal on that laptop.
Great concept, but as everything, if someone else already surpassed you, you won't succeed. Tons of songs are missing and importing from spotify around 15% of all songs are replaced with either random songs or remixes that aren't relevant to the source. The audio quality isn't near as good as on Spotify even when maxed out. Lacks so many songs and really isn't a good replacement. There's also no native Linux app so that's a negative (spotify being popular means there's multiple web apps to run)I entered the free trial and canceled not even a week in and stopped using it entirely, because I've never met a service that was so bad not even the free trial was worth it.There's a lot of improvement to be made, and I hope this will reach higher in the future so we can have a good music streaming service other than spotify
I really don’t like this app. I’ve given it a try to move away from Spotify, but the interface to me is very confusing, songs and artists that I have saved on my favorites just don’t show up. Worse even, tidal only downloads tracks when you have the download cue open, and it fails to even download all songs. I’m just frustrated and will move back to Spotify beginning of the new year, I have it a try but it’s just not working for me at all.
Both the mobile and Mac apps are laggy and crash often. The downloads feature doesn't work on the mobile app, and it's been like this for >1 year. Sound quality is good, but slowness and the number of bugs make it barely usable. I'm now looking for other services to switch to.
