Generally I have no trouble with my general banking BUT I tried to have money transferred from the USA on two occasions and nothing arrived . The US Banks followed all the protocols but after actually months of trying still nothing and one amount was fairly substantial.
I contacted the TMB and spoke to a very nice women but said they can't intervene as the 'middle party' who I think is situated in Asia just bounced back the money finally to the US bank.....The US bank finally used an ANZ international transfer number and it arrived in 8 hours!!!!! (I don't have a ANZ account but it arrived!!)
Shockingly painful, failure to provide reasonable service including technical issues and blocking of OSKO payments, additionally, failure to address fraud concerns and follow up with customers. Have fun calling five times with a 65minute wait to have nothing resolved.
Recently had a problem with a deposit being transfered into my account. I thought the company I was dealing with were fobbing me off. Turns out I had a block on my account put there by the bank that apparently rang me once and when I hadn't answered they left a message, which I didn't get. For 4 months I kept having to deal with the company. 3 times I rang the bank (always a difficult operation) to make sure I was providing the right details. On the third time I was told about the block. At this stage I had activated AFCA. Started on the 6/11/25, finally sorted early March 2026. They don't care, they are merging which apparently will make it better!
This credit card let me down big time when I tied to use it overseas. I had all my settings toggled to allow overseas purchases but the first time I tried to make a purchase my card was blocked by their fraud department. Totally embarrassed and let down by this bank. Luckily I had a CBA card to fall back on. The fraud department said they couldn’t see my card settings! What! This is just a hick bank and will be closing my account when I get home. Reading other reviews I see I’m not the only one this has happened to. Trying to contact them is near impossible too. Another experience happened where they let a scammer make a purchase on my credit card after they made multiple attempts. Incompetent fraud department.

If you want to be left completely stuck in a foreign country, without the capacity to pay for anything, then you should definitely get the TMB credit card. Every time I go overseas they block it. They say it is live chat on their website but it takes days for them to reply to my messages to get it unblocked. Then they just reblock it a couple of days later, and it starts all over again. Is this the world's worst credit card? It is if you want to travel anywhere but Australia, it definitely is!
