Review Time
Had an amazing time with friends. The instructor was very clear with his instructions and incredibly helpful. Who knew you could create pottery in a microwave?! I'm definitely trying this at home with the new skills I picked up, thank you to the studio!
I'm writing this review to caution future customers about my experience with the studio. I purchased a voucher and followed the redemption steps precisely. The studio claimed they sent a booking email, but I never received it — not in my inbox, junk, or spam. Without that email, making a booking was impossible. When I visited the studio in person, I was assured everything was fine. On the day of the workshop, I was turned away at the door, despite having followed their instructions and double-checked beforehand. The service I paid for was not provided. The bigger issue was their response when I sought help. Instead of resolving the situation, the studio’s replies were dismissive, accusatory, unprofessional, and openly hostile. They refused to resend the booking details, declined to offer a solution, and even told me I was “banned for life.” Their tone was aggressive and completely inappropriate for a customer-facing business. If you're considering booking with the studio — especially through a voucher platform — please be aware that if anything goes wrong, based on my experience, you may not receive support or a resolution. I did not receive the service I paid for and faced hostility instead of assistance.
Completely disappointing, way too expensive for what you receive. First of all, there is no signage at the entrance – other than a poster saying the studio's name – hard to see on a poorly lit street. I paid for a pottery wheel class. The instructor spoke so quickly – I couldn’t understand him. He wouldn’t let us touch the clay and essentially made all the shapes himself for everyone. Instead of guiding us, I essentially paid for the instructor to create a cup. We then had 10 minutes to paint. The process involved painting, then 10 seconds in the microwave, and then painting again, etc. There was only one microwave for about 15-20 people to share, so I didn’t get to do that successfully. When taking it home, we were given a paper plate… Not worth the money, time, or effort.
