I typically refrain from leaving reviews, but my encounter with the service was frustrating enough that I feel compelled to caution others. I submitted two one-page Japanese tax documents for translation and indicated “2 pages” on the order form. After payment, the company informed me that my documents were suddenly counted as 12 pages, according to their internal word-count method that was never clarified beforehand. They requested nearly $1,000 more, even though this detail was not disclosed prior to payment. I canceled the order within minutes of receiving this updated cost, but the company refused to honor their own stated refund policy. Their website mentions that refunds for translations are prorated based on actual progress and that a full refund is available if the project hasn’t been processed. In contradiction, they claimed that 50% of the amount was non-refundable due to “processing,” yet offered no proof of any translation work or genuine progress. Throughout the process, the representative consistently referenced internal guidelines that were absent from their website, contradicted their own policy, and declined to provide a clear justification for the 50% deduction. Ultimately, I accepted the partial refund just to resolve the issue, but the entire experience was highly frustrating and unprofessional. My recommendation: exercise extreme caution before engaging with the service. Their approach to refunds did not align with what is outlined in their own policy, and a lack of transparency was a significant concern.
I did not realise I needed to get this translated professionally until very late and was really stressed about the timing. Be sure you check your email when you order the express; they might be fast but if there are mistakes then they wait for your feedback to send you the final document; so, it might take longer even if you had paid the express service.In my case was a mistake in my Driving License, making shorter a word that should be full and formal format.In other translations everything was great!
