Good trip

After reading many negative reviews, we were really nervous about how our trip would go. It turned out to be 100% better than expected! On the way from Barcelona to Ibiza with GNV Sealand, we were able to stay in the car with all of us, including the dog, and drive directly onto the ferry. We had booked a cabin where we could stay with the dog. A few days before departure, we were rebooked from an outside cabin to an inside cabin, but this was no problem as we were sailing at night. The only disappointment was the outdoor area for the dog. There was no artificial grass or seating available anywhere. On the return trip, we traveled with Trasmed Ciudad de Granada. This ferry looked much nicer than the one on the way there. The cabin was again perfect for the dog, and the outdoor area was better. There was a small patch of artificial grass and several tables and benches to sit at. This crossing was during the day, so it was nice to be able to sit outside. All in all, we worried a lot because of all the negative reviews, but it was completely unnecessary. I would definitely make the crossing again. The organization of how the cars had to wait and board the ferry was also well arranged.

Unnotified Schedule Change Leading to Missed Ferry

I booked a ferry from Ibiza to Valencia on 27/08/2024, but the experience was highly frustrating due to a lack of communication regarding a schedule change. The ferry left an hour earlier than the originally scheduled departure time, and we were never notified of this change. We had booked a ferry for 13:30, but when we checked in earlier that morning, we saw that the time on the ticket now showed 12:30. Assuming this referred to the boarding time, as boarding is typically an hour before departure, we arrived early at 12:30 as planned. When we asked staff at the port to confirm the boarding time, they said it was indeed 12:30, with no mention of the ferry leaving an hour earlier than expected. Upon arrival at the port, we found out that several other passengers had missed the ferry as well, all because they hadn’t received any prior warning about the schedule change either—no email, text, or announcements. This situation caused significant financial and logistical stress, as we had to urgently rebook flights to ensure we arrived in Valencia for a professional event the next day. The lack of communication from the ferry company was incredibly frustrating, and I would not recommend booking with them based on this experience. EDIT/REPLY TO TRASMED: I have already reached out to Trasmed several times since the 27/08, but instead of answering my requests directly, they insist they have a month to reply to my request...

One of the worst possible experiences I…

One of the worst possible experiences I ever had in my life. Barcelona - Palma Booked with a pet but without the cage. And they yelled at me because they didn’t want my under 7 kilo dog anywhere on the ship. I could not even go to the bathroom , or outside on the deck. Because they clearly hate dogs. The old woman in the reception is the worst person I ever encountered in a customer service. I asked her for her name , but she almost spit in my face. So now I can look forward to spending 8 - 12 hours on this lousy ferry with out food , water of a restroom. Ohh and they tried to trick me into paying for the key for the kennel and said as long as I pay I can bring my dog in the common areas. They clearly lied

Couldn’t be worse

Couldn’t be worse, never on time. And then you wait ages to get off the boat. Would not recommend

Ferry between Palma and Barcelona

Ferry between Palma and Barcelona. Embarkation and disembarkation absolutely deplorable. A narrow passage along the hull on one side and trucks and heavy vehicles on the other, was the only available access to the ferry. Several hundred metres of obstacles, filthy hanging hoses and truck wheels had to be negotiated by passengers, carrying heavy luggage. No assistance provided by staff whatsoever. I will never use Trasmed again.

Extremely extremely bad

Extremely extremely bad. They do not know how to run the business and are not in control. Departure was one and a half hour late without any explanation. Now that we have arrived, we cannot leave the vessel due to the fact that the elevator is blocked by trucks… Lots of crew, but no control! Never seen anything alike.

Avoid and use Baleària instead

Avoid and use Baleària instead. Valencia - Ibiza October 2023 on Ciudad de Mahón.After having driven for 9 hours we queued for over an hour to get our room key only to be told they had given the room to someone else. Had to wait another hour and 10 minutes until we were given another room. Nobody apologized. Bathroom was dirty. Finally had a shower and went to the restaurant as we hadn’t eaten all day but it was closed (only 90 minutes after departure), and when we spoke with the staff member he shouted and swore at us.Ship was poorly maintained and intense vibrations rattled us so much that we couldn't sleep all night. We then arrived 2 hours early and were informed of arrival (we were still 90 minutes away from Ibiza, so had to wait upstairs until we docked) by a woman shouting at all the rooms down the aisle.Highly unprofessional and unbelievably rude, disrespectful staff who should not have a job. Will never, ever use Trasmed again as long as I live.

Do not use this company - Criminals

Do not use this company. They are robbers. They cancelled my trip on 26 May and won't give me my €250 back. They have ignored 3 e-mails and hang up on our telephone calls. I have had to go to the police and denounce them. Use GNV OR Balearic instead, this company is criminal.

Boarding process for foot passengers is a disaster

We, 5 other foot passengers and I, sat in the wrong waiting area of the terminal for the Palma ferry. There was an announcement, but it was not even understood by the native speaker who was among us passengers. By the time we noticed, it was too late and the TrasMed staff would not let us on board, not even refund the ticket price. There are several questions for me:- Why wasn't the "wrong" waiting section in the upper floor closed?- Why didn't the screens work properly and show any gate?- There were at least three young persons of TrasMed staff an two security staff people. Anyone _must_ have noticed one of us going upstairs, why she/he didn't talk to us?- Why isn't the announcement understandable? Please test the system by yourself!- Why didn't the staff feel sorry for us in any way and just blamed all on us?I'm sad TrasMed don't even see any potential to improve their service. The number of foot passengers will generally increase, because there are more and more people in middle Europe looking for a more climate friendly way to get to Mallorca than flying. Ferry lines should not treat them as passengers 3rd class, but make the boarding process as easy and transparent as going on a plane or train. I mean, the operator will know not just one hour before where the ferry exactly is going to depart. I never experienced being brought to a ferry by bus before. Why not for example at least communicating this some hours before.

Ferry on time

Ferry departed little late but arrived on time both times. Dirty smoke from chimney gave large amounts of oil spill on clothes of many passengers on deck. Toilets very dirty. Food and beverages fine.
