I recently bought a rug here, and the way it was shipped is completely unacceptable. The rug was not only rolled poorly, it was also folded in half and sent without any protection at all. There was no cardboard tube and no proper wrapping. It feels as if the package was made smaller just to save money.The result is that the rug now has creases and ripples that still have not disappeared, even after almost four weeks of lying flat. This is not what anyone should expect from a new product, especially from a store that calls itself professional.What makes the situation even worse is the response from customer service. They told me that I can only return the rug if it is in its “original condition.” This is unreasonable, because due to their poor packaging, they did not even manage to deliver it in its original condition themselves. They should focus on delivering the product in proper condition before making such demands of their customers.
I tried to reach out to the company in advance to request more details about a carpet our interior designer recommended to us, and they could not provide it. So I bought the smallest version of it so that it would be easy to return. I am shocked at how terrible the quality is. The listing mentions 5-10mm thickness, when it is MAYBE 2mm thick. You know what they say - if it's too good to be true, it probably is. It's too cheap to be decent quality.
I bought Evena bath mats made of cotton, yellow. The color was as indicated on the website. The quality was better than expected: thick cotton. Trendcarpet.nl is a Swedish company, I only discovered this when the track & trace came in by mail. This fact, the quality and the accurate ordering process gave me a European feeling: countries have the same standards.
I had issues with the carpets I purchased and contacted the company with photos. They provided return instructions, and I sent the products back on 16 April. When I followed up this morning about my refund, I was told that the items still haven’t reached their warehouse. However the report from the courier company showed that it had been returned successfully to Trendcarpet. No one from customer service checked this before responding to me. Honestly, this is really disappointing service. I’m sorry, but does it really need to take this long for returns and refunds?
Do not buy a carpet here. The quality is very poor and it is considered 'normal' that a carpet shows signs of wear and tearing (fading colors and wear) within 2 months after purchase, while using it normally in front of a couch. I complainted about this, but got the reply that since the carpet was not in the state I received it, they could do nothing but offer me a 10% discount (on a carpet of €300).
