Way past its game

I love it but it is past its game. I tried posting things and have waiting for likes for the past year. It's a great platform but no one uses it sorry.

Tumblr tries to "look good" but it's just fiction!

Tumblr tries to "look good" but has the worst treatment of customers. They trap you with campaigns you need to pay to get more "likes" for your works. But you won't get many. They send you messages that you campaign was "full impact" with many views and hood-lookung statistics. But you don't have the "likes". You try to contact them -which is really difficult - but you won't get any (senseful) response. Tumblr is just blablabla... won't recommend it for any artist!

Decent app but does nothing to solve its problems

Been using Tumblr for probably 10 years now and while I heavily feel that it's the "don't fix it if ain't broke" type I find it really annoying that nothing is done regarding bots. Also, sometimes random posts from tv shows or video games (and I mostly reblog) get flagged for no reason.

I created my first Tumblr account but…

I created my first Tumblr account but because of issues with stripe payment linking to Tumblr my account was deactivated. No way support is going to listen to my emails they don't care. I created another account and didn't post anything for a month or so and they also deactivated this account and said I was doing affiliate marketing and it is against their community guidelines. No I didn't even post anything on the app. But what can I say I hate Tumblr.

Worse than craigslist

Expect 40+ spam bot notifications a day. If you report them, Tumblr management laughs in your face and does nothing to ban them. So you have 90% of the activity on the site literal spam bots and 10% snarky content farmers. It's not really much of an interactive community at all. Then there's the whole secondary blog thing with zero ability to comment as your secondary blog or follow others as your secondary blog. What's the point. The platform is rubbish. The management is rubbish. I wouldn't be shocked if all Tumblr was at this point in time is a laundering racket like Craigslist clearly is. This website and their trash phone app are a complete scam.

Totally changed company and not for the better!

I’ve been using tumblr for years without any problems and even downloaded their app. I have noticed that in recent years they have got more and more censored and blogs that I had been following for a long time were being deleted and other blogs that I came across said that this was their 6th blog etc because tumblr kept on deleting them! Then about a week ago when I tried to get into my app it wouldn’t let me in and I even tried signing in again with my password but didn’t get anywhere! As far as I’m concerned I never posted anything that I shouldn’t and in fact I only ever reposted other people’s blogs that I liked which I assumed was ok because surely if their content wasn’t then tumblr would have surely removed it? I’ve sent several messages to tumble support asking why I can’t access my account and I assume that it’s because their moral police didn’t like something that they saw but surely someone that’s had an account with them for years should be warned what it was that they didn’t like rather than just deleting their account? I have sent their support several messages but I haven’t received 1 single reply. I know that I could log back on using a different email address but I had made friends on there that I will never find again and so I’ve decided that they are not worthy of my account and so I’ve deleted their app now and decided that I’m not going to spend another minute trying to gain access again and I will easily just join a much more liberal site. It’s no wonder when you read the article online that tells you how many users tumblr had years ago and how much it was worth as a company compared to what it’s worth now and how many members it’s got now. You would have thought that someone who had been a loyal user for years would at least get some sort of warning to advise them what they had done wrong on the 1st occasion rather than just having their account deleted and blocked? Anyway I will give my time to another more liberal site that hasn’t got a Willy nilly approach of just deleting peoples accounts. It’s very interesting when you read the article online that explains how tumblr has failed based on how many people who used to have accounts with them years ago compared to now and how much the company used to be worth compared to now and I’m sure by carrying on like this it will be losing more and more users every day and that’s probably why nobody from their support team gets back to you because obviously as the company has lost a huge amount of value they have also had to drastically cut down on the amount of staff that they hire too. Goodbye and good riddance tumblr and may many more users follow suit!
