Review Time
My partner bought me the Aston Martin (Vantage & DB9) driving experience for my birthday. After parking up at the venue, we then had a long wait in a slow moving que to register and obtain my drivers card. The first car was the Vantage. Just looking at it from outside it was a bit of an old wreck. But things got worse when I got into the car. It was disgusting with its filthy tatty condition. When I reved the engine it was slow to respond and it rattled like a box of spanners - let alone the strong smell of petrol. As I set off around the circuit, which was disapointingly very short and very busy with lots of other cars on track thus slow, I went to brake and my foot went almost to the floor - No brakes! A quick release and applied again, then the front brakes locked up. My instructor told me I braked too hard. No, I told him, 'this car had a brake failure'! He didn't say anything. We completed two more laps at a very slow pace due to all the other cars out at the same time - and due to my concerns over the brakes. When I did get up some speed there was a very loud clonking from the back of the car - like a drive shaft worn out. When we stoppped to get out I was asked 'What was that like'? I replied, the car is an absolute wreck - horrible. He said, 'They do get a hard life'. After a 35 minute wait in the pouring rain I eventually got into the DB9. Same again filthy, disgusting interior with bits missing and/or broken. The car did drive marginally better and seemed to be in a slightly better condition than the Vantage but I considered it still to be a wreck. Again, hardly any speed could be made on the very short circuit so there was no exhillaration or excitement - utterly boring.Next, I had the three lap high speed ride in a Golf Gti. It was okay but due to the short track it was all over in less than a couple of minutes. When checking out I was asked if I wanted any photos or the videos. I declined as I want to forget about this dreadfully disapointing day. I didn't lodge a complaint or anything as I knew this company do not do refunds. Also, I didn't want to be offered another drive in one of their death traps. I wanted to get out and on my way home.I've been to lots of track days and driving experience days. This is the worst ever. I am a very experienced motor vehicle technician and I could see all their cars were old and in poor condition and many had worn out brake discs. Do not waste your money with this company or their sister company Car Chase Heroes. How others can give them a 5 star rating beggars belief.
Horrible, they sell lemons & still haven't received my title after 10 months.Everytime I have to deal with something with this car, ima leave a bad review because it's sad. Just coming up on a year having this van and it's been down more months than I've owned it.UPDATE: They tried to call and bribe me with a gift card to change my review then said they will give me a discount on a car as if I would give them another dime! Please STAY AWAY .. & don't trust the reviews my only option is to try to sell it to a mechanic as is, & pray I get a fraction of what I paid& btw they don't do dmv work correctly, I still have no title to this day and bought the car out right so guess what ! I have to sit in the dmv for a copy of the title to even sell the car. Thank you so much drive for a stressful year and no carFinally got a title, had to go to the dmv for it and pick and pull is only offering 374 nobody else wants to buy it. So I paid 7,000 in cash for this van, never got to drive it and put more money into it for work and coming out with nothing. This is ridiculous. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!
Didn't even get past the booking stage. This company is pathetic as you pay money up front for the experience but then half the cars they advertise aren't available and you have to pay a load more money for the track you want to go to, the insurance and then £20-£40 more to drive a different car because the cars 'included' in your experience aren't available. I checked all dates for all tracks for the rest of 2024 (over 50 dates) and only 1 of those dates actually had the cars available, and even then only 2 of 4 that I paid for were available to book. Save your money and use a reputable company.
A total shambles. What should have been a wonderful experience was actually awful. I was supposed to drive 2 Aston Martins. I needed up not diving one. Had to change and then spent half of my laps driving around the track at 25mph as it was so busy. Like rush hour in London because it was so busy. This is because it’s all about money and getting as many people on track as possible and ended up in a traffic jam. I was also called to drive two different cars at the same time. Missed my allotted time as was so behind. Chaos and left a massive downer on what should have been a great day. AVOID this company. Terrible.
Absolute waste of money. The cars themselves were old and in poor condition. You get about 2 minutes on average track, full of other cars doing different things so you can’t really test the car. There are a couple of extra charges. Value wise this is incredibly poor experience for 4 minutes driving and huge waiting time as they book so many people in. Don’t waste your money and beware this company goes by another name too, so do your research. Go and do a full hour with Mercedes at Brooklands for a brilliant experience, brilliant car and expert coaching.
The event was much busier than I anticipated but it was extremely well organised with minimal waiting time. My son who is 16 years old had an exceptional time in both cars and then topped off by a high speed lap with a professional driver! A faultless experience that I’d highly recommend!
Took an age to book in... because the WiFi wasn't working....but the staff were working very hard and very apologetic...so the driving... there were six of us all my family....the driving was great fun...we all drove four supercars ..the instructors were kind and knowledgeable about the cars...so yeah a good day..2nd time we have done this
Very poor experience. Massive queue to get in, queue again for sighting lap and then queue again for your car. Track was ridiculously small with multiple cars on the track at the same time so no real chance to go very fast. I waited 40 minutes for my second car and after after asking what the wait was for, I was advised the car wasn’t even ready to drive! Queue after for the media photos was also too long.So my experience consisted of 3 tiny laps in one car, missing out driving the other car as i couldn’t wait any longer and no photos of the day.As we were queuing I heard one of the staff members saying they had 633 people booked in which is far too many. My experience in total cost £145, complete waste of money.
