My wife and I have used Yahoo and yahoo email for over 20 years. The email does NOT work st all anymore. And Yahoo as a search engine and a replacing for Mozilla takes over my computer! For that reason we have Uninstaller both. We a d e now using Chrome and Gmail. As a backup email we both use Hotmail. What a disgrace today's developers are. Yahoo was our Go To web and email provider. A real Thumbs Down to its present state. The old one worked. This does not. It is now a Do Loop which is why we Uninstaller it. I attempted to create an email account using five different devices, but whenever I request a 6-digit code to be sent to my mobile via text or WhatsApp, it never comes through. It's incredibly frustrating. After spending so much time on the setup, I ran into this issue. I'm done with this service and will look for another email provider.
No matter what I try, I can't connect with the support team (although I managed to do so twice and shared my debit card information, but it didn't work). Since then, I'm only given the option to provide my debit card number. I'm not comfortable with that. I don't want any virus protection from any protection service, as the company makes very secure computers.
Yahoo has transformed into an unreliable and untrustworthy email service. After being sold, I lost many years' worth of emails and contacts due to false inactivity claims. I log in regularly. Since then, my emails have been deactivated multiple times. Before this ownership change, I didn’t face such issues, aside from spam. I'm now considering switching to a more reliable email provider that I’m willing to pay for. If you're thinking of contacting them for help, don’t bother. If you think things will improve, save your energy; corporate services often decline. If you can't reach them for assistance, it’s time to find another option. To those who label it politically, please stop spreading falsehoods. It’s simply another corporate service that prioritizes profits over customer care. The current ownership has connections to individuals who may not safeguard user privacy, which is another reason I'm leaving Yahoo.
Yahoo has become an extremely unreliable and untrustworthy email service. It's a far cry from its earlier days. After being sold, I lost over a decade of saved emails and contacts because my account was deactivated due to false inactivity claims. I log in multiple times a year. Since then, they have deactivated my emails two more times. Previously, I never faced such issues, apart from spam and a layout update I disliked. I’m now considering switching to a different email provider that I’m willing to pay for. If you're hoping to contact them for support, it's a waste of time. Expecting improvement? Save your energy; corporate services often decline. If you can’t reach them for help, it’s time to move on. To those labeling it politically, please stop spreading misinformation. It’s just another corporate entity focused on profits over customer care. The current ownership has ties to individuals who may not prioritize user privacy, which is another reason I'm leaving Yahoo.
Yahoo Mail requires me to use a two-step login that I didn’t request and don’t want. Logging in now takes much longer than before. I primarily use a desktop, and my phone is often unavailable. I can't find a way to disable this two-step login. Yahoo used to be great, but now it's becoming increasingly frustrating.
