We had booked a 10 yr olds birthday party, 2 months in advance for Nov 16th, had to pay the £300 fee in advance. UKPaintball cancelled the booking on Nov 12th. No apology, no compensation. Apparently they earlier booking had cancelled so they decided not to open for the day.So with three days notice and 10 very disappointed boys, we are having to run around like mad things to find a replacement party activity.Can’t believe that paintball businesses are so profitable that they can afford to just cancel bookings like this. I can guarantee if we had tried to cancel at this short notice, they would have kept the payment. Absolutely appalling customer service. Definitely would not recommend anyone risking making a booking with this business.Reading through some other poor reviews, it’s seems as though this is their standard business practiceEdited following the response which isn’t very truthful. No offer of compensation was made. The offer to get 10 families to rearrange their schedules, and potentially add a further 20-30 mins each way to their journey with almost no notice. Correspondence as follows (see if you can spot the offer of £75 ?):I am sorry to inform you that our venue in Finmere is currently having to cancel the Sunday 16th session due to low player bookings and group cancelations. We can offer a session at this location this Saturday 15th. Alternatively for Sunday 16th , I can offer our venue in Hinwick, MK43 7AE for the session time 11.30-1.30PM. My apologies again, if you could please contact on the number below and I hope we can discuss an alternative session for your booking. called before i booked, had loads of questions to ask. spoke to the guy on the other end of the phone and he was very, very helpful indeed. i have now booked 6 of us not been yet but if the day goes as well as the call i think we are going to love it
My partner and I had our first paintball day together and overall really enjoyed it. I was a complete beginner, and he had been before, but the staff made us feel welcome and involved from the start.Our morning group was a large mix of 18 people and the games were fun, although the “2 shots and you’re out” rule wasn’t enforced fairly. Our marshal stuck to the rule but the other team’s marshal didn’t, which caused some frustration.The afternoon session was excellent and much better balanced. We were placed with a mixed group of adults and children, and the staff handled everyone brilliantly, making it enjoyable for all.The only major downside was the pricing. The website states that the £14.99 full-day deal includes lunch, but this wasn’t provided. Paintball and smoke grenade prices listed online also didn’t match the on-site costs:Website: 100 balls £8 / 500 balls £30 / grenades £5On site: 100 balls £12.99 / 1000 balls £80 / grenades £12.99 each or 3 for £25Because of this, we ended up spending far more than we budgeted.Despite the pricing issues, we did have a really fun day and would return—just with confirmed prices and packed lunches!
Safety masks were not fit for purpose. I had to change mine three times. A number of children were in great discomfort as masks had lost the comfort foam and sharp plastic was marking their faces. I was told when booking that it would be just us ten. Then the marshal doubled up and brought another team of twelve children in. You need to invest in masks that are fit for purpose. All the kids want to do paintball for there birthdays but will not be booking with you as you clearly maxed out your profits at our expense.
