I am a CPA and attorney and I have been using Intuit software for over 30 years. I recently purchased Ultimate Tax because the Intuit program was very expensive. It was a complete ripoff. The depreciation schedules are very difficult to use. I could not even complete the first tax return. They refused to refund my money.
Ultimate Tax is good company to go with. I am a beginner Tax Professional. I used the PPR and the software is easy to use. They do have a chat for questions or for assistance. I love this feature. They are reasonably for the PPR in the competitive market. Everyone else is really high. You get a lot with their packages. I have no complaints about UT
Garbage. Yes, I am upset but want to help others avoid my mistake.I thought I would save a some money on tax software this year by using Ultimate Tax but that was a mistake. I should have checked this site for recent reviews before I bought a license to use the Ultimate Tax software. This is the worst tax software and experience I have had. I will go back to my previous software. I tried to enter a very simple tax return with one document and it took me over an hour to figure out how to use it and enter the data, even after their onboarding training. You'll have to do a Google search for State municipal codes to enter into the software! No other tax software emphasizes the need for onboarding training. Tax software is usually intuitive and easy to figure out, not this one! By the way, it took me about 10 minutes to enter the tax data on my prior tax software that I switched back to! I don't want to mention my previous tax software because this post may seem like I am promoting it over Ultimate Tax. I am just giving honest recent feedback.Also, don't pay for it before you are able to try it for yourself, otherwise there is no refund! Not even if you have not filed a single tax return. Save your money and the hassle. I lost my money, don't make the same mistake unless you actually like this software with many manual steps compared to most others.The customer service is okay. I probably would need them for every tax return.So anyway, I am happy to pay more for my prior tax software and save time, prevent filing incorrect tax returns, and avoid accidental audit flags.Good luck and happy tax season!
