My decision to buy the Skywave X40 system came down to budget, but someone elseβs decision might depend on how many neighbors they haveβand whether they want to keep their friendship after turning up the volume.
From the packaging onward, itβs been a pleasant experience. I only raise the volume to 25% π because I want to be a good neighbor. At full capacity, thereβs no distortion at allβ¦ except for the voices telling me to turn it down.
Controlling it through the app is a big plus, giving access to extra features and even the manual, all in one place. With very few cables to connect and the freedom to place the wireless speakers wherever I want, itβs perfect.
My only note is that the soundbar seems to block the infrared remote signal, which I assume has to do with the unitβs power.
Overall, this brand has definitely earned my attention. Their other products already have me thinking about my next budgetβand whether I need a special occasion or notβto treat myself again.
Even for a budget-friendly entry-level soundbar, this model has notably poor performance compared to my 75" television speakers, which outperform it significantly. Itβs unclear if my television's advanced technology is the reason for this disparity or if soundbar technology just hasnβt kept pace. If your TV is older, perhaps this soundbar would be a step up. The soundbar is marketed as a 2.2 system with two "subwoofers" and two drivers, claiming to output 100 watts. The performance is lackluster; even at maximum volume, it fails to deliver sufficient loudness, and anything below 60 is almost inaudible, lacking any depth. The audio feels flat and lifeless. Donβt expect any meaningful bass from the two so-called "subwoofers"; they are ineffective. It might have been better to include four full-range drivers instead, which would enhance sound and vocal clarity. On a positive note, the setup was straightforward, and it includes all necessary cables and mounting hardware. The accompanying app is user-friendly and allows for sound adjustments. I appreciate the flexibility to arrange the speakers as stand-alone units or mount them on the wall. Consider spending a bit more on the alternative model, which offers fantastic 5.1 Dolby Atmos sound quality. I have one and was so impressed that I purchased a second.
I can't help but think about how many reviews were written here by those upset they spent significantly more on a brand name that doesn't perform as well as the sound systems offered by this service. In my view, you can't find much better; the soundbars, particularly the x series, are nearly flawless.
I just completed the initial setup of my new sound system, and I'm genuinely thrilled with its performance right out of the box. Once my theater is fully set up, Iβll look into fine-tuning it, but the clever design and easy setup have really impressed me. The audio quality and sound coverage are remarkable; it fills my entire living space with clear, rich sound. The bass unit is particularly impressive, delivering a strong, substantial punch thatβs exactly what I wanted. With audio equipment, I prefer not to crank up the volume to get the desired effect. This system operates comfortably at lower to mid levels, which it achieves perfectly. Honestly, connecting everything was a breeze. The setup was quick and intuitive. I havenβt explored all the settings yet, but based on this fantastic start, Iβm very happy with my purchase. Highly recommend!
I wonder how many reviews here are from those frustrated after paying much more for a name brand that doesn't sound as good as the sound systems from this company? In my opinion, you can't do much better; these soundbars are nearly perfect, especially the X series.
I ordered some equipment from this company. After a long wait, I reached out to inquire about my package. They informed me that one item was out of stock and offered me $30 compensation for it. Since then, I havenβt heard back and received no response to my email. I hope I haven't fallen victim to a scam.
I've had the worst customer service experience. I saw a 'pre-order' offer and emailed the company with questions; they were quick to respond within 30 minutes, encouraging me to place an order. I decided to proceed with the order in late September. They claimed shipments would be sent by October 20th, only to email me the day before with customs issues causing delays until late November. So, I waited... November came and still nothing. I emailed several times, each time receiving generic replies stating the item is out of stock and expected to arrive mid to late December at the earliest. Iβve asked questions and received no answers. It feels like they took my money for a product that hasnβt even left their factory, while Iβm fed excuses about shipping. I just want a delivery date and to know when my order will arrive. I ordered nearly three months ago, and it was supposed to ship on October 20th. Where is my order? Your customer service is excellent when trying to make a sale, but once payment is made, it disappears. If this continues, I will request a full refund and buy from a more reliable company.
Fantastic sound. It's quite loud... As someone with hearing difficulties, I was eager for improved voice clarity. I was definitely not let down! I can hear voices clearly now, unlike with my previous soundbar. Itβs loud enough that I keep it on 2 or sometimes 1. Iβve noticed that using the XUP makes the sound slightly louder and better. I did face some setup challenges and couldn't get the remote to work with my TV... unless I connect via Bluetooth. When it powers down, it defaults to the ARC signal. That might be on me. I plan to keep experimenting when I can. I wish the LED display on the front was clearer; I struggle to read it and can only guess whatβs being displayed. To summarize... incredible sound quality, loud, and a great value. My only issues are with setup and the display being nearly unreadable. Other than that, it's a fantastic value for the price.
I bought a projector that stopped working after less than two years of occasional use. I contacted support, and they offered a refurbished unit for $40. I paid for it, but they sent me another defective projector that didnβt work at all. Beware of this seller.
