So my profile was first on uniteddomains.com and then for some reason was transferred to united-domains.de. The platform interface on united-domains.de is just AWFUL! You literally have to have a science degree to do just a simple task.
Anyway, I had a .network domain that was set for renewal. And two weeks before the deadline I got an email, that I'll be charged 61€ for a renewal. This amount was a bit too high for me for just a .network domain, so I decided to cancel it.
GUESS WHAT! YOU CAN'T!
According to their policies, and I quote:
"According to our policies, a domain will only not be renewed (and not charged for the next period) if the cancellation is received at least one month before the end of the registration period. If the cancellation is received after this deadline, the domain is automatically renewed for another year, and the fee is charged, even if you cancelled before the actual renewal date."
THIS IS BASICALLY STEALING!!!
So literally, when you get an email for a renewal, you basically can't cancel that domain anymore!
STAY AWAY from them, their platform is literally unusable and they will literally steal your money through practices like these.

Take another provider. This one keeps spamming you with mails, all day - several times. Even though you canceled all newsletters. When you have a complaint and you contact them, they don‘t answer AT ALL. I have several domains and this is by far the worst one. Half of my mailbox is them spamming.
I have been trying to cancel my contract for several years (since at least 2022/2023). Despite repeated cancellation requests in writing, United Domains continues to ignore or block the cancellation.Instead of accepting a clear and legally valid cancellation by email, customer service hides behind internal procedures, forms and technical excuses. Even though my identity as the contract holder is fully known and confirmed (including direct contact with support), they refuse to process the cancellation and keep the contract running.This feels like an intentional attempt to make cancellation as difficult as possible. I am still unable to get out of the contract and keep receiving invoices.Extremely frustrating experience. I cannot recommend this company.
Been a customer since 2019 with no issues as i didn't need anything from them until now. Wordpress critical error and can't get any help other than AI. I can't get talking to any humans and am wondering if the company still exists. I can't even get a ticket number from the AI so tomorrow I will repeat it all again. Very disappointing and frustrating.
They advertise very cheap domains and then silently charge you additionally with the price for the "mail package", even though you never signed up actively for this. I am very unhappy with their service. Had I known this would be an additional cost I would have surely opted for other providers.
PLEASE STAY AWAYRecently had an encounter with them. Bought 3 domains for 3EUR, good deal right? Yes, but no. In their terms of service they have mentioned that you need to inform them at least one month before you want to cancel your domain.Now whilst all of it is legal, it is very bad practice. They will not send you any reminders that say "Hey you got this domain here, we will automatically renew it if you don't cancel it one month before.". I mean why should they? That is how their legal scam works. However they will send you an email week before your domain expires and say that it was already extended. I mean what is the deal with that? At this point might not send any email at all, just charge the payment method and call it a day. Another part of their unreasonable scam is their pricing. It feels like they pull their prices out of their ass. That is their second part of the scam, you buy it for cheap, forget about it, and then they can charge you these ridicules prices. Example of their ridicules prices, their .online domain costs 49.83EUR, while on an average registar it would cost around 30$. I have used many registars in my time and all of them are normal except for this scummy one. Please stay away from it, got to spaceship or namecheap. Really, really do not use them.
